Congrats to all approvals :)

Congrats on the approval!! Woohoo!!!! :D hoping it's smooth sailing from here :)

But ugh- it's because the whole system seems to be down for nvc. (All they've said is 'we are aware of the problem and are hoping to fix it as soon as possible.') All that is stopping Santy and I from getting his interview and medical within the next week is the ds-160 form from NVC. Perfect timing for their system to be down. Now going on the 3rd day, and I'm already annoyed. No guarantees on whether it'll be fixed today or tomorrow, but we're hoping it's fixed soon!

Everyone keep posting on your progress!!

Totally dependent on your consulate. You can check out the country's stats here: http://www.visajourney.com/timeline/stats.php?history=90 Tells you the average amount of days until interview in the last 90 days, 180 days, year, etc. Obviously not the same for every case, and depending on your consulate it could take a while. Some people mentioned theirs can take 2-3 months. You could always try to see if they could squeeze you in earlier, though! It may not be possible, but for us, we thought it didn't hurt to ask!

For us, it took 2 weeks to NVC and two days after to get to the consulate. Santy & I want to have our civil ceremony June 2nd (our anniversary, hehe). That WOULD be possible if NVC dealt with their system and allowed us to do the ds-160 because everything else is ready. Consulate told him they make k1 priorities and can move some stuff around to squeeze him in for an interview. So we are hoping for next week at least, if NVC has their site working before then! I think Ecuador seems to have a faster interview wait time because there aren't as many immigrant applicants as non immigrant, and you can get your visa the same or next day there, if you'd like to.
