My US fiance and I applied back in March of 2014 and have not received our NO2 yet. I've always been very patient with the whole process but this is just getting ridiculous now..

Our lawyer refuses to check the status of our application, saying it doesn't help the process :(

All we want is, to be together. As everybody else does too

1 - Get rid of your lawyer

2 - Ring them yourself. You are way outside the stated processing time and should have been done by now

Why didn't you two look this up for yourself once it seemed too long? processing times were average of 5 months when you filed (now 6-8). Your case might have gotten lost (this happens unfortunately), so you are way out of processing times, and you both should've honestly looked that up on your own and not relied on your lawyers words. It doesn't take over a year for a k1 noa2, and even past the 7 months you can file an inquiry. I hope you didn't spend too much on the lawyer because he seems to not know much about the process or really care for your case. :/

You have to call USCIS and from here on out, you should look up processing times for the whole process yourself afterwards, rather than asking your lawyer to do it (which you can do this yourself on the USCIS website and then CEAC for post-noa2. Our attorney actually checked for us weekly because we wouldn't, either, until we hit 6 months, knowing it wouldn't come before then.)

Hopefully you receive an answer from them ASAP!

And call or go in person to your congressman's local office. Way past due time to start taking this into your own hands and chewing your lawyer out.
