Wow...I wish I had found this site about 7 months ago. I didn't know anything about letters. I sent pictures of us, that's about it. Passports and flights where we vacationed together. Sounds like not enough. I sent proof of pregnancy in February. It took them all of one day to deny my expedition request. Feeling really down at this point. ?

Also had a expedition request turned down (based on health of a close relative), sent in via local congressman. Makes it even more galling that people who applied after are getting approved in days at CSC.

I only sent in pictures, flights, skype logs, facebook messages, gmail, gchats etc as "proof of relationship". Mind you, i'm still waiting to be approved so who knows if it was enough?

Also I had recently moved and changed my address on may 9th only two days before getting approved. Hope they send it to the right address, does anyone know how long it usually takes for the mail to arrive after recieving an approval text or email? Thanks ahead of time

If you didn't send letters of intent, go ahead and have the beneficiary sign and mail one. There's an example in the Example Forms section of the site. USCIS does seem to universally want these and so it's probably a good idea to just have it ready and waiting should you get an RFE. You can then turn it around the next day and cut your wait time down.

Congrats. :time:

I think it is unlikely they updated the address in time. Letters arrive within 1 week normally. I think you should call them and ask to resend,

If you sent all this info, it seems like enough, and if it's not, it's not the reason you haven't gotten a noa2 yet unless you've gotten a RFE. Once they see your application and if it's not enough evidence for them, you'll just get a RFE. We just front loaded evidence to be safe, but it's not like you NEED a bunch of reference letters (other than the letters of intent like April said).

If you feel concerned about how much you gave, gather more info now to be ready in case of a RFE when it comes. That evidence can include the letters I was talking about, pictures, any extra trips, etc.

Also, like April said, it's not necessary to notarize things, but it definitely makes it look more 'official', and isn't too hard to do. So I would personally recommend it if you're able to do it!

Ps. Congrats fluffypiggies!!!!! Definitely contact them if you can to ask to resend! You may have not been signed up for email/text alerts on the website, so that may be why no email.

Those 2 paragraphs were separate things. The proof of relationship stuff was nothing to do with expedition request.

I'm perfectly content that all the documents i've sent are fine. They just haven't looked at them whatsoever.

I was just commenting on the bottom part! :) You didn't sound all that sure, so I was just letting you know that it sounds like enough to me! - I didn't want people to think that they NEEDED to do what I did. People can get approved with much less evidence than I had.- (The rest of my post was in response to previous posts.)

I was just commenting on the bottom part! :) You didn't sound all that sure, so I was just letting you know that it sounds like enough to me! (The rest of my post was in response to previous posts.)

It was me that was being confusing. My original post was a part about me (the expedition request) and then a bit in reply to someone else wondering if they should have sent more "proof of relationship" so i just listed what i sent (i also forgot that i sent a letter of intent to marry, so it was an all round useless post. I blame TSC).

I didn't send anything for the expedition. That was all done State-side by the local congress office (or whatever you call it) and via letters from doctors.

TL/DR - ignore me, i've confused everything.

Oh! Lol sorry! I should've quoted the other person then because I was just responding in general to people questioning their evidence. I didn't want to make anyone worry! I think what everyone sent was enough! :)

Ps- you can ALWAYS blame it on TSC, LOL! :D

That's for march 31st though if you believe that (at least that date was updated this time).

By my calcs that would mean nearly half the people on this thread should be done by now.

I literally think the only use for that date is to be able to submit a case enquiry for being outside processing time as you say

Oh yeah.. blaming TSC is always acceptable. I think it works in every situation. Miss your fiance? Blame TSC. Ate a half gallon of icecream in one sitting? Blame TSC. Got a flat tire? Blame TSC. See.. they all work.

That is exactly all they are good for and even then they are rubbish because they're 6 weeks outdated.
