When people post that they have received their noa2's, have they received the notice in the mail or have they just recieved an approval text? I'm asking because i had forgotten to change my address and I moved a few months back and we got our noa1 on october 7 and that date is getting close in the processing times. So I'm a bit worried if I changed the address a bit late ?

Check your case status on here:

https://egov.uscis.gov/casestatus/landing.do

You should also change your address as soon as possible here:

Yes I've changed it already, now I'm just wondering if people post that they have received their noa2's when they receive the notice in the mail or when they receive the approval text?

I posted when I received it via email. I haven't received a hardcopy in the mail yet, and already the USCIS has sent the application out to the NVC. The email is basically your NOA2, but the mail is just the official copy of it.

Like most here i'm checking the TSC dates pretty much daily. They seemed to go through a little period where they were going at a decent rate (this is based on the visajourney processing dates, so not official). They got up to October the 3rd, then it took 3 or 4 days to get to 4th October.

This is killing me.

I'm 24th Oct and from the timelines i'm seeing people from November getting processed. What sort of system are they running here?

My theory is that everything is tossed in a giant batch bin in the order they arrive to the office (you know like those 99cent dvd bins at your local wally world). Everyone just runs about dumping files and they get all mixed up. Then after a rousing game of poker or candy crush, some sort of order we can't figure out is dumped into a case worker's office. The loser of the game gets the big bin and the winner gets a week vacation time.

When they need to bring up the bottom line to make numbers look better they dig through the bin looking for a sooner case rather than a later one. The bin is so big and constantly being refilled with cases, that the case worker tends to hide under their desk with a blanket rather than deal with the mess.

In other words, there is no real system that makes sense to a logical human being. It's the government and nothing they do makes any sense.

Nailed it!

Its refreshing to hear that people kept or are maintaining their sense of humour after going through this. Mine is quickly being eroded.

Thanks for the chuckle.

Lol! I said this, too, a few months ago! It's literally big bins. Someone posted the link to the guy who worked at a service center and confirmed that it is like big bins of paperwork. Its not organized, so you can't expect it to go in order unfortunately.

Except for that we should expect it to go in order because uscis claims to go in order....
