Haha really? I wasn't aware that France was big into the mail order bride business! Ahhhh, you gotta love facebook.

Right? We are a free and rich country that has free healthcare, good schooling and competent doctors... Yet apparently we do mail-order because it makes so much sense! Oh well. Texas and its welcoming people!

10/15/2014 --- NOA1

05/01/2015 --- NOA2 (198 days)

05/08/2015 --- Case sent to the NVC

05/15/2015 --- Case received by the NVC

05/18/2015 --- Case number assigned

06/05/2015 --- Consulate received + Packet 3 received (e-mail)

07/27/2015 --- Medical

07/28/2015 --- Interview (APPROVED!)

07/30/2015 --- Issued

10/13/2015 - Applied for Social Security Card
10/31/2015 - Wedding

11/09/2015 - AOS Package Mailed
11/12/2015 - AOS Package Delivered

11/13/2015 - Fingerprint fee for I-485 received

11/14/2015 - Social Security Card received in mail

11/16/2015 - Received 3 NOA text/emails at 11:25pm

11/21/2015 - Received 3 NOA in the mail (receipts dated 11/12/15)

11/27/2015 - Received Biometrics NOA in the mail

12/10/2015 - Biometrics appointment at 9:00am

01/26/2016 - Put in a service request online for EAD (75 days)

01/28/2016 - "assigned to an officer for response"

01/29/2016 - "your inquiry was completed"

02/01/2016 - I-765 & I-131 Approved (received text & email 02/02/16)

02/05/2016 - USCIS status change - EAD mailed w/tracking # (text & email)

02/08/2016 - USCIS status change - "On 02/04/2016, we mailed your new card" for EAD (text & email)

02/08/2016 - Received EAD/AP combo card in the mail (no status updates about AP except "approved")

03/16/2016 - Status changed for I-485 "Name was Updated" (received text & email 03/17/16 9:30am EST) (Never submitted a name change)

04/15/2016 - Called USCIS & Put in a Service Request online regarding "Name was Updated" status

04/15/2016 - Received email "On March 16, 2016 your Form I-485, Application to Register Permanent Residence was approved.We have reviewed our electronic records and found that your Permanent Resident Card (PRC) is already in production." (NO INTERVIEW)

05/05/2016 - Another online service request asking status of PRC

05/18/2016 - Received email saying file was in Sacramento, not Pittsburgh, and it was not approved yet. WHAT?!?!

05/20/2016 - Status changed online to "On May 16, 2016, we ordered your new card"

05/23/2016 - USCIS status change - "On 05/23/2016, we mailed your new card" (text & email)

05/24/2016 - USCIS status change - "On 05/24/2016, USPS picked up your new card" w/ tracking info (text & email)

05/26/2016 - Received card in mail

I am so sorry. It sucks a lot. I was hoping to be in Houston in the summer. My fiancé and I were saying last year that last summer was my last summer in France. But apparently it wasn't. TSC really ###### up big time.

10/15/2014 --- NOA1

05/01/2015 --- NOA2 (198 days)

05/08/2015 --- Case sent to the NVC

05/15/2015 --- Case received by the NVC

05/18/2015 --- Case number assigned

06/05/2015 --- Consulate received + Packet 3 received (e-mail)

07/27/2015 --- Medical

07/28/2015 --- Interview (APPROVED!)

07/30/2015 --- Issued

08/04/2015 --- Received

09/25/2015 --- POE

10/10/2015 --- Wedding

Sorry that happened to you, I've come to realise that there are a lot of americans that are ignorant to the entire process, quite insular and think that marrying outside of the "family" is bad, bad, bad.

Right? We are a free and rich country that has free healthcare, good schooling and competent doctors... Yet apparently we do mail-order because it makes so much sense! Oh well. Texas and its welcoming people!

Yup you're just a filthy Frenchy that wants to hop the border because France is HORRIBLE. Free health care and university who needs that :rolleyes:

October 6 filer! Lonnnggggg wait.

Met online in jan 2013 became exclusive Feb1

Met in person Sept/ Engaged in Oct 2013 never wanted to leave each other.

Returned to visit July 31 2014 till Oct 2014

started our K1 VISA process...October 2014

K1 noa1 Oct 6 Texas.....now the wait begins...to start our journey together.

NOA2 email notice Approval May 14/2015 yay!

interview oct 28th 2015!

What happens if my fiance and I decided to get marry in DR? Do we have to start everything all over again?

Seriously, seriously think about that. You'll lose all of the time, effort, and money you spent on the k1 and then have to completely start all over again, with cr1 visas taking a year to process and costing the fees and time all over again. You're deep enough into the process now that I think, even though it's really difficult to continue waiting, you should consider waiting it out because doing it another way now will start you off at square 1, where now you're at least half way (we hope!)!

K-1 Visa

♥ 10/2/14- I-129F form sent
♥ 10/3/14- USCIS received I-129F
♥ 10/7/14- NOA1
♥ 4/24/15- NOA2 [6.5 months; 199 days]
♥ 5/11/15- NVC received & case number assigned
♥ 5/13/15- NVC left
♥ 5/14/15- Consulate received & ready for interview
♥ 6/15/15- Interview- APPROVED!!

♥ 7/10/15- Visa in hand

♥ 7/11/15- POE

♥ 7/14/15- Marriage (Civil)

AOS

♥ 7/20/15- AOS/EAD/AP sent together

♥ 7/23/15- NOA1 for all 3

♥ 8/17/15- Biometrics

♥ 8/31/15- Expedited AP document (all in one day)

When people post that they have received their noa2's, have they received the notice in the mail or have they just recieved an approval text? I'm asking because i had forgotten to change my address and I moved a few months back and we got our noa1 on october 7 and that date is getting close in the processing times. So I'm a bit worried if I changed the address a bit late ?
