Well I didn't get to learn a new language but I did learn a lot of new words and pronunciations nonetheless!

Thats so true! With American and English it is theoretically the same language, but practically it sometimes doesnt feel like it is ;-)

Do not mean to pry, but what part of Barbados are you from by chance? My great-grandma's/family were British Barbadian. Her mom and dad lived in Bridgetown. After meeting my great-grandfather, she immigrated to America with her son in 1920s. Some of my last remaining relatives still live in Barbados and I've always wanted to visit there some day.

My fathers family is from St Philil, the most eastern parish and my mothers family is from St Michael where Bridgetown is. It has it's problems like everywhere else, but I would still encourage people to visit my little rock in the Caribbean.

I am sending you a big hug. Hope you feel better soon.

I had to say goodbye to my fiance four weeks ago and the first two weeks were not that fun. Now I got used to being by myself, even though it is really not something I want to be used to :-(

Do you know the story of the Little Engline That Could? Lately I sound like it when talking to myself "Yes, I can do it" I will add all of you and make it into "We can do it" :-)

Thank you, it's nice knowing I'm not the only one. We'll make it through this ninth circle that USCIS is imposing on us. I'll perk up a bit when I get back to work and see my friends. Between here and them and work, that's distraction enough. At least I can still skype him. ^~^

JDWright, been there! You're well within the misery period, if yall have been together since 2012. It probably took Daniel and I 4 years to stop the crying and horrible loneliness after leaving eachother. But for us, it eventually faded. Now when we leave eachother we don't really cry much. I still miss him like hell but I smile more because I got to be with him.

No. TSC is working on early July right now. Expect at least 200 days from noa1 to noa2.

If you want, you can sign this petition and reach out to your representatives regarding the processing time difference between CSC and TSC https://www.change.org/p/uscis-distribute-the-current-caseload-between-tsc-csc-vsc-and-nsc

The petition is advocating for a workload transfer to CSC. I'm all for doing anything I can. It's better than sitting around feeling sorry for myself and this crappy situation.

There's another girl who sent her petition to the lockbox the same day as me and has already had her medical in London bc she went to CSC.

At this rate I will be happy to get NOA 2 before my birthday. And my birthday is end of May. Some days I think even that is overly optimistic.

JDwright, Yeah stop doing that. I stopped a month ago. If it doesn't say TSC only, I'm not clicking on it. I was becoming an angry person I didn't like. I'm still bitter but it's more in control now.
