I was checking out fellow Ecuadorian timelines on here and did notice that several of the June 2014 filers were transferred to CSC (they WERE TSC filers for real with updated timelines, lol!) within 3-4 months then received NOA2 within a month. So I'd think it's possible for us to get some transfers, too, if they decide to be generous

Some Republican leaders threaten to shut down immigration in February 2014.

http://www.nationaljournal.com/congress/senate-races-to-avert-shutdown-amid-tensions-between-cruz-leadership-20141213

I was scared about this for several days, however, I think K1 visas will continue to process.

K1 visas are funded by application fees. So the processing should continue, even if other immigration processes are closed.

I hope you're right that a shutdown won't affect our processing. I really don't have a clue myself, but I'm definitely worried about it. Last week I wrote to my congressman and senators, one happens to be Ted Cruz, to express my concerns about the immigration reforms affect on my petition and to urge them to not support a shutdown.

I mean no offense but I don't think Ted cares too much if a shutdown affects any of us, so long as it accomplishes his larger goal. I would neither like to see a shutdown happen or this immigration order come into effect as I believe it will have severe negative outlooks for us all. Hoping that it is true that our applications will not be harmed due to the funding being allocated through our payments. Somehow though I find it hard to believe. That would mean it would be severely underfunded... but maybe that explains the lack of 'finesse' in which they process us..

says here that during Ted's last shutdown

(where I was sent home without pay, was not eligible for unemployment; and had my medical benefits cut)

USCIS did remain open.

All probably

I clicked on the profiles for all 38 approvals. Here's the breakdown:

- 15 from Philippines

- 14 from CSC states (timelines filled out incorrectly)

- 6 with profiles that have been deleted or made inactive (?) and can't be accessed - no way to know whether these are legit TSC, non-filipino approvals

- That leaves 2 that appear to be TSC, non-filipino. I checked posts for these members to see if they had discussions about military or other expedites in their posting history, but couldn't find any indication of that. One had no country listed and one appears to be a real approval from a TSC, non-filipino couple.

Disclaimer: I'm a human who clicked on a lot of links (profiles, various pages of profiles and timelines). They started blending together after I'd gone through about half of them. The TSC, non-filipino number may be 3 or 4 and the Phillipines and CSC numbers may be one or 2 less.

So let's be generous and say I made a couple errors and there are 4 real TSC, non-filipino approvals, that's only 10% of the approvals and 3% of the total October filers here on VJ. IF it's only 2 real approvals, that's 5% of the current approvals and 1.4% of all the October filers.

Seriously, if yall haven't been over to the June TSC thread, go over there and check out Josh 1987's posts. This guy is a data scientist and has created a script to access USCIS's data and is reporting back on the June approvals every few days. Really impressive. We need one of him for when we start getting approvals in a few months.

Edit: it really could only be 1 legit approval since one doesn't list a country or state of the USC. If so, that would be 2.6% of current approvals and .7% of all October filers.

Correct.. because He's OVER the government.. bahahaha. I mean I personally think that God gives us (and the government, ahem) personal choice in a lot of things, BUT I think it's possible for him to put His hand in things... Needless to say, fiance & I pray everyday about it! :D
