Quick questions about the packet 3. I filed a 864ez for my support form, now when the embassy mails the packet to my wife will it have a copy of that affidavit of support for a cr 1 visa inside? Or do I need to send her the copy i made with the copy of the letter from my employer? I have read many differnt things and trying to confirm before we get our interview.......thanks Matt

Your wife should have a copy of everything you have submitted with her at the interview.

There was a post just earlier today where the visa wasn't granted at the interview because the consulate did not have a copy of the I864.

I definitely agree with riblet. You both should have complete copies of all submitted documents. Also sharing a copy of correspondence from the uscis & nvc is a good idea.

Scanners and copiers are wonderful. Assemble copied packet(s) as they were sent to the uscis. Don’t forget to make it look complete by using acco prong fasteners (good excuse to use some of the extra fasteners you may still have in the box).

Remember these are assembled records of your visa journey. If for nothing else, you can review them on your 25th wedding anniversary and share with any children you may have.

Finally, speaking from personal experience, I’m glad Isabela has complete copies with her in Brazil. Her copies have already been used.
