Forget, just for a moment, the ramifications for or against the families of all the illegals that will be affected by Obama's recent speech.

Admit to me that what he did is wrong. Plain and simple, outside the scope of his authority.

Prosecutorial discretion is not outside of the scope of his authority. Presidents have rather broad prosecutorial discretion. Plain and simple.

Yeah, I thought you'd stick by him even now. But I was hoping you'd have the ballz to admit he was wrong.

At least you're consistent, if a tad misguided.

This is not an outrage thread, this is a cry and do nothing about it thread. No one has come up with an idea to bring recognition to those who have done and are currently doing this process the right way.

Quite frankly there's nothing that CAN be done about it. Neither the lawmakers nor the president care one bit about family based LEGAL immigration. If the republicans were smart, they would point out how folks doing this the legal way are being punished, while folks breaking the law are being rewarded. Unfortunately, republican lawmakers aren't very smart. See Ted Cruz.

It's really unfortunate to see so many ill spirited comments. Why would anyone feel so resentful of others getting a little breathing space? It's a deferral for families with children and possibility to work. Why is the automatic reaction one of "them vs us" and assumption that another's good fortune will detrimentally and directly effect our own? Is it not refreshing to see something actually been done to address a system that isn't working but that no one Is taking action to fix? Before anyone tries to claim the intellectual spotlight on the ins and outs of how the immigration processes work, don't. I definitely don't, im the same boat (insert Mayflower joke here) as everyone else trying to navigate their way through this process. I witnessed similar animosity in regards to some expedited case, specifically of Philippino cases expedited due to the crisis there. This is not a personal attack on anyone, I just don't feel it's healthy, productive or serving attitude to adopt.

Because that's exactly what's happening. All the Dreamer / DACA folks are dumped in the front of the visa line. Don't believe me? Then believe the perennially left-leaning NYTimes.

This an outrage thread, not a sympathy thread. People who have broken the law are being given a break while those who are following the law are not. There are families with children who are separated and are obeying the law, why not give them a break?

Aren't you the Republican's spokesperson? You are a super advocate for the Republicans yet you have no faith in them.

If you feel they are too stupid to notice the unfairness with this process why don't you enlighten them?
