are you referring to the other country police certificates listed as required documents in the Appointment Packet? if so , you are only required to submit the other country police cetificate if you lived overseas for six months or more after reaching the age of 16.

for the medical, bring copy of appointment letter, passport and I think 3 passport style photos.

check Sheriff Ulings signature, you'll find lots of helpful links there.

Not true for the CFO or medical. Maria completed both 18-19 Jan and just got her police certificate yesterday. The police certificate is only required at the interview if you meet the requirements to get one.

Take a look at Sillygurls post with a great break down of the CFO and Medical process and requirements. Ken & Maria

yes...you do need the police clearance even if you the NBI clearance already. If it is part of the requirement...yes you do...

I agree with roymcn3rd and KenMaria, police certificate would only be required if you lived for 6 months in another country. Otherwise, you only need the NBI Clearance.

Hi Lyann and Joone! Congrats once again on ur interview sched. Its getting closer now.

I did my CFO last January 24 - I arrived at PRISMS (Taft) together with WOF and VJ girls (Steve-n-Ana, Thersch, felnfrank and Lebby) 12:30pm and registered for 1:30pm session, theres a film viewing about abused filipina married to a Dutch and then open forum discussion and one and one counselling - they asked for pictures, divorce decree and asked about our love story. got my certificate of attendance at 4pm then hurried to CFO main office (quirino - 50pesos by taxi) to get the green certificate.. and then the STICKER later on when i already have my visa. CFO main office closes at 5pm so its better to be able to attend the seminar earlier so you can accomplish everything in just 1 day. I paid 400+300 for the CFO.

And i did my medical Jan 25-26. 1st day started early, we lined up at 6:45am then presented my Appointment Letter to the guard and got a number 160 and forms to fillup and a working flowchart, then when my number was called i gave 1 visa pic and went upstairs to pay PhP4,655 and the medical process begins - X-Ray, Blood extractions and Urinalysis, Vital signs and Physical checkup and Immunization interview and then checked out at around 2pm and told to comeback the next day at 10am. At 2nd day, arrived 10pm and then after a few minutes my name was called for vaccination and then went to the ground floor to wait for the result and called around noon and gave my passport and 2 visa pics., they handed me the Xray film and the vaccination worksheet.

All in all, it was an easy experience except for the waiting when your name be called. Coz its not first come first serve there.

Hope this helps and if you dont have the Packet 4 yet, try downloading first the packet 4 found in the US embassy website or in Sheriff Uling's signature so that you can compile now the documents needed for the interview.

And im just an IM or text away for any clarification or questions! Hope to meet you in Manila. :star:

Ingat lagi,

Mari
