Hi all,

First of all I want to apologise if this has already been answered but I couldn't find it anywhere on the forums.

I attended my visa interview on the 17th (and it got approved :dancing: ) and was told that my passport to be back with me in 5 - 10 working days.

Being the impatient person that I am, I have been checking almost every hour over the past 3 days on the CEAC website for the status of my case. After checking earlier this morning, it says it was last updated on the 20th (today), listed as "READY" and still saying I have to attend the interview?

I'm just wondering if this is a thing that normally happens? I normally worry about such things and they turn out fine but this certainly has me puzzled.

Is there also a chance that they could ask for more paperwork from me?

I phoned the embassy and I think the lady I spoke to was (understandably) a bit annoyed that I called after only 3 days.

Any insight at all would be appreciated.

Yeah, that's normal. My status on the CEAC website only changed after 4 days, and on the 5th day it changed to "issued". If they wanted more paperwork, they would've asked for it towards the end of your interview. I think you're good. Just wait a couple more days :)

So it's totally normal for it to still say "ready for interview" even after I've attended it?

Thanks

It says Ready from the time it arrives at the embassy until past the interview. Here, read this for London info of what your next status will change to http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/474161-london-k1-a-complete-guide/?p=6741253 Edited by Nich-Nick

I actually just checked it again and it's gone back to "READY", like it was before the interview, so I have no idea what's going on.

Everything is still saying as if I haven't been for the interview.

I'm guessing the best thing to do is just wait, everyone's times seem to be different.

You are putting too much time and emotion into an online status check. It isn't specific to you, your country, or visa. It doesn't even have a lot of different messages to choose from. About the only time the message may be useful is

"In transit"--knowing case has left the NVC

"Ready"--knowing case has arrived at consulate from NVC.

"Issued"--knowing the visa has been printed and put in your passport.

Messages about interview have no connection to what is happening...at least not for those processing in London. Ready can say "you may schedule your interview" and we know London schedules the K1 interviews, not the applicant.

London times vary. A girl who interviewed last Tuesday changed to "issued" Wednesday (1 day) and got notice on Friday for a Monday delivery. You interviewed Monday and your visa wasn't issued until Friday (4 days). Both are normal for London. Now you wait on somebody to pack up your entire file and seal it in a "Do Not Open" envelope and turn it over with your passport to the courier.

Unfortunately CEAC doesn't have a status that says--

-packing up your file

-turned over to courier

-sending out your delivery email

-on the truck out for delivery

-delivered

Start watching your email, not CEAC. That's over

That's just happened to me yesterday, so I researched it a little and it seems that it happens to a lot of people.

My fiance called my consulate and they told him that they didn't know why it said "Ready", but that it was marked in their system as if it was going to be issued on Monday.

I know how you feel because I feel worried too, but I really think that this is normal and we'll be ok.

Good luck!

I'm pretty much on the same boat and I'm really worried. I had my interview on Nov 24 at USEM in Manila. I was informed I was approved and just wait for the visa to be delivered. I keep checking ceac for status update. From the day of my interview (Nov 24) up to Nov 27 my status says ISSUED then on the 27th it changes to READY as if I haven't been to my interview yet and the status updated date changed from Nov 24 to Nov 28. I am hoping nothing is wrong. Anyway any update from your end? Keep us posted please.

It got changed to "ISSUED" on the 25th and then I got an email on Friday (28th) telling me that my stuff would be delivered by Monday (1st DEC).

I think if the date changes then it means that someone has opened your case and done some sort of work on it.

Mine also went to "ISSUED" back to "READY" then on AP for a day before going back to "ISSUED".

I know how you feel, this is more nerve racking than the interview! At the interview they told me to wait 5 to 10 days for my passport back so give it the maximum 10 days and if you don't hear anything then contact them. I'm not sure if the timeline is different in Manilla to London though.

Mine took a full 2 weeks to get back. Like Nich-Nick said, just wait for your email. It's frustrating but it will come.

Thank you for sharing! I'm a little less nervous now but still worried lol. You're right, I'm more stress now than my interview day. Adding to the stress are the people I talked to. They keep saying my status is wierd coz they all got interviewed Monday and everyone got their visa Friday. ( they are a week ahead of me) And I got interview Monday as well. Only thing is Thursday is a holiday. So I'm really looking forward for Monday and see if there's any changes. They keep telling me since im IR1 im not suppose to go though the ready-ap-issued status on ceac. It's suppose to be issued since the day of my interview. I don't know what else to believe. I hope and pray that Monday will enlighten me. And congrats to you! Edited by serenaanya
