As usual we're off the original topic but I can't resist.

My wife and son had a perfectly good insurance policy before the ACA took effect. We paid about $300 per month, it had a $1000 deductible and covered everything we needed it to. He was covered from birth and it was working perfectly. After the ACA started we were notified that we could no longer keep that plan, but wait, the president came to the rescue and told the insurance companies to let us keep the plan. Well, they did, but the price went to about $450 per month (now) and the deductible is $3000.

In addition, both of my son's doctors quit their practices, they were a father son team. The father retired and the son went back to school one month before the ACA started. My mother and father also had to change doctors since they would no longer accept their new insurance.

The only people that I know of that benefit from this act are low income people that don't have insurance provided by an employer. In my opinion, it's going to get worse before it gets better.

It'll affect more people in the future (2018) who have employers paying the so called "Cadillac" plans, since some will/may not offer such generous plans due to the excise tax on the "Cadillac" plans.

I guess your reply is a dig at other posters in this forum but I'll address it. I'm sure more white people are receiving benefits from the ACA than non white, the same goes for most government programs. I really don't understand all the race talk in this forum. To me it's just a distraction and a way to avoid the topics being discussed. We are a mixed race family.

On topic, how do the people Obama has decided not to prosecute prove that they've been here longer than five years?

I'm going to take a guess and say that they have to show some sort of ID birth records of American children or paper trail to qualify. Perhaps sworn affidavits from employers, teachers, etc. However he seemed to mention "coming out of the shadows" a lot. Those in the shadows probably wouldn't have a lot of those things.

My question is...will the illegals that apply to Immigration have to follow the same rules . Will they have to pay the same Petition fees,Application fees,physical fees, Ellis fee and will they have to meet the same income requirements or have a Sponsor etc ?

If these new immigration rules really do happen...I have my doubts...it could years for those in the USA illegally to actually get their NOA 1. Will their applications be expedited as it was for the Philippines natural disaster and others . I want answers to those questions and cant find any.

IMO, its a fact that its fair that the President Obama didnt grant total amnesty to those ones that broke the inmigration law, because that will be unfair to those ones that follow the path in a legally way. The law its law and dont follow the rules have negative effects and thats his message, If the person wants be legal, must get out of the shadows, get in the line, fill the requirements and pass the filter as any legal inmigrant.

I doubt they will have to suffer, be humiliated and go through any of the things we have had to go through to do this process right.

Nah, UB has this thing where he has to blame everything on Obama. Race comes into play because there's an underlying thought about minorities here that seeps into most conversations.
