Hello all, this site is a great help but there are so many question that will confuse a person. I am planning on a trip to finland feb 27 to get married to my love, there are so many things that id like to talk to someone about, first thing: Is it ok for use to marrie there in finland and for here to move here to usa or best to marrie here or does it matter? Second: She has 2 young kids( will be my kids also) what papers do i need to file to get her and the kids in america with me at same time? would this be the i130. please help me get this process started. THANKS TO EVERYONE THAT RESPONDS

You can marry either here or there. Which is 'best' all depends on you. If you plan to marry here in the US you would use the K-1 (fiancee) visa process. If you are going to marry there you would use the CR-1 or K-3 process (both spousal of course). The K-1 and K-3 processes are very similar and processing times are normally about the same. The CR-1 process is longer because there is more time spent in processing at the NVC (National Visa Center). Check out the GUIDES as they have a lot of great info.

01/11/07 - Arrived at California Service Center

1/12, 1/16, 1/17, 2/6 - Touches

02/06/07 - NOA2 from California Service Center

02/11/07 - Received NOA2 in mail

02/15/07 - Arrived at the NVC - MNL case # assigned

02/20/07 - Sent to US Embassy in Manila

02/26/07 - Received at Embassy

03/30/07 - Packet 4 received

05/09/07 - Medical scheduled (did early)

05/16/07 - Interview

05/23/07 - Visa Delivered

05/25/07 - POE in Newark, NJ

I-130 Timeline

11/27/06 - Mailed I-130 package to Texas Service Center

11/29/06 - Package received by Texas Service Center

12/06/06 - NOA1 notice date from California Service Center

12/09/06 - Touch

12/11/06 - NOA1 received in mail

02/06/07 - NOA2 from California Service Center

02/11/07 - Received NOA2 in mail (I-130 held at CSC)

thanks...... But she has 2 kids, im woundering if i have to file (3) i130 petitions for her and the 2 kids or are they automaticly included once i put there names on her i130? I know that this is my first stap and i need to get it right PLEAZE HELP ANYONE

SOMEONE LEAVE THERE E-MAIL ADDRESS SO YOU MAYBE ABLE TO HELP ME THOUGH THIS HOLE PROCESS. THANKS
