Consultate General LA - passport never arrived?

My wife and I went to the embassy and completed the report of marriage and renewed her passport and now its almost 2 months from our visit there and it still hasnt arrived here at our home and we are getting nervous.

Is there an email or phone number for the consulate where someone answers the phone? I have tried callnig and just end up in a looped menu. We live in Texas and going back to ask a question is just absurd. Going back again to get a lost passport done if they lost it will be even more frustrating and just too expensive!.....

Any help will be great.

We were told when my asawa renewed her passport that it could take up to 8 weeks. If it is "almost 2 months", be patient a little longer.

Don't expect them to be quick to answer the phone or reply to an email.

I renewed my passport last June 2014 in LA consulate. After i pay the fee, they gave me a small paper to when i can get the passport. But i live in washinton state so i had them mail it to me, paid for usps envelope wrote my mailing address and gave it back to them.. I got my passport in the mail last august.. Exactly 2 months..
