Hi Visa Journeyers!

Sorry this might be a little long-winded, hoping anyone could shed some light or share any similarities they may have experienced...

I did my medical in Sydney Australia as part of my K1 fiance visa process, so I have a DS-3025 Vaccination Documentation Worksheet dated January 1st 2014, as well as copies of my SYP Serology and xray results dated the same day. I understand this medical exam has a validity period of one year.

After I got married in the US, I sent off my DS-3025 as part of my I-485 AOS application package and it was received by USCIS on July 14th. At the time of applying, I was living in Michigan, but have since moved to New York. USCIS mistakenly scheduled me in for an interview in Detroit, which I had to have them cancel and reschedule, so they said they sent my files over to the NY office to schedule an interview with.

I just received my interview package from the New York office...my AOS interview date is 12/12/2014.

However what is confusing is that there is also a generic letter saying:

"Dear Applicant,

You submitted an I-693 Report of Medical Examination and Vaccination Record in support of your I-485 Application for Adjustment of Status. As of June 1 2014, USCIS has limited the validity period for all Forms I-693, Report of Medical Examination and Vaccination Record, to one year from the date of submission to USCIS. Based on these new regulations, your I-693 Medical Examination has expired.

Please bring the attached I-693 Report of Medical Examination and Vaccination Record to your Adjustment of Status Interview"

My assumption would be that they are referring to the DS-3025 form I submitted in place of the I-693, and if so, then I would also assume that since it is dated Jan 1, 2014, and my interview is Dec 12, 2014, that it should still be valid as it has been within one year!

I don't know if I should go ahead and schedule an appointment to have this done with a civil surgeon before the interview (which would be annoying and expensive if I didn't have to), or if I can simply take a copy of the DS-3025 and xray/blood test results with me instead, assuming that they have just lost my documents from my I-485 application package.

They also included a blank I-864 Affidavit of Support form and said to fill it out and have it notorized and bring it to the interview too. Again, we did all this for the I-485 Application Package in July. Has anyone else received this instruction to bring it to the interview when you have already submitted it?

Any insight would be GREATLY appreciated, thank you friends!

Attached are photos of the generic I-693 letter, and everything else I received in the AOS interview package, besides the interview notice.
