Worrying over nothing?

If you submitted a personal check for payment, check your bank statement and see if check is cashed. USCIS cashed my check several days before I received the NOA1. They cashed the check within three days of me sending the application.

Yes we had been checking that but it hadn't been cashed.

Like I said in the above post, we have received our NOA1 now so all fears have been alleviated

There does not seem to be much rime or reason at the USCIS. Their processing timelines are way off too.

I sent something to my husband once and accidentally wrote the ZIP from where he used to live in the next town over instead of his current abode. It took about a week longer, but it got to the right place in the end

Same thing happened for us. Spent a bunch of time on the phone with several different post offices and customer service centers. They kept telling me how they receive such a high volume of mail and it might have slipped through without getting scanned. But we did get our return receipt back about 12 days after it was sent, and then our NOA1 shortly thereafter as well, so there were no problems. I'm sure something similar is happening so don't fret too much!

I was told that I could contact USCIS Customer Service 10 days after sending the application and they could tell me if it was received. Here is the phone number: 800-375-5283

Thank you, we did write the correct ZIP however, it just said it was delivered to a different one, hence our concern.

Thank you! As I said a few posts back, our worry has been alleviated by the arrival of our NOA1, which was a massive relief So I guess they just have various ZIP codes or something...

I know my signature confirmation didn't get back until about 4 days after my NOA1, but it did eventually. Glad to hear it went ok!

My signature confirmation card didn't come back for months...after my petition approval even. I always wondered where it was hanging out all that time.

I realized that was overkill and quit doing signature confirmation on subsequent submissions.
