You aren't scary. Your going to have to learn to live with that

do you actually know people that act that way? i'm asking seriously, i just don't know any black people that have ever said anything even close to that.

Are you serious.? You don't know Black people that blame everything on racism.

Heck you don't have to leave this forum for that

You must not have a TV, or you don't watch the news. Although I know you've been here for 100 page threads concerning TM/GZ and this Ferguson thing. Two things that had ZERO to do with race, yet the race hustlers were out in full force whipping up emotions with their false claims of racism.

i don't watch 'the news' you're right. but why would i? constantly hear about how biased the media is, how full of it every broadcast is. why would i watch lies to tell me about reality, about the truth?

middle aged/class white men and women are supposed to be pissed right now, and feel like they're getting the short end of the deal. the manipulation comes in with who you are supposed to blame for the bum deal.

I'm not pissed. I'm a middle aged white guy. I see all this for what it is and what it does. All these fake racism claims and people not taking responsibility for their own actions pretty much guarantees that black folks will never get treated equally. Quite frankly, despite what they say, they don't want it. Hard to yank out the victim card at every turn if the perception is there that you're being treated fairly. So in the mean time, the poverty rate will stay the same, the welfare cycle will continue, and as long as they keep pulling the 'D' lever when they vote, their benefactors in Washington will keep the handouts rolling in so that they'll have just enough money to get by without having to work. And the cycle will go on and on and on. Of course this applies to white folks as well, but they can't blame race on their lot in life. They have to get more creative to come up with excuses as to why they are owed something for doing nothing.

The sad fact is that this race conversation will be going on years from now. Just the way Al, Jesse, Obama, and the rest want it. The worst possible thing for them is for black folks to start getting ahead and doing well. That's a nightmare scenario for them because it makes their victimhood message less relevant. People keep telling you over and over that you're a victim, eventually you'll start believing it. It's not a very far leap from there to expect to be compensated or treated differently because of this "victimhood"

It's pretty sad that these folks don't realized they're being played by these "leaders"

A day when people in America are judged solely on the content of their character and not the color of their skin, scares the hades out of a lot of people that depend on keeping racism alive, to keep them in power.

Can you imagine an America in which everyone had to accept personal responsibility for their own short comings.

there's just not enough difference between the democratic and the republican party for me to think one is really worse than the other at this point in the game.

i guess i just don't see al, jesse as 'leaders' - because they're anything at all to me. and i don't think obama has any choice but to be the friggin race card, he can't play it. he's the first black president and that's pretty much all we'll ever hear in association with his name 20-30 years from now.

with the routes income inequality and our public education system are taking, we're all going to be permanent victims to the underclass. only those with the $$$ will ever get to live king's dream. race won't make one lick of difference.

The sad thing about it all is that hey eat it up. It's a pretty powerful message though. They can point to things that happened decades and centuries ago, and beat their fists and thump their chests, and scream "See!!! this is why your life sucks!! It racism!!" Folks eat it up. Can't really blame them. I might do the same if I was in that position. Political leaders have been doing this kind of thing since the beginning of the time. They have to have their boogeyman.

You may not see them as leaders, but a lot of folks do. That's why they get the airtime they get.

As far as Obama, someone has to be the first. If I was him, I'd want that to be my legacy, because most of everything else he does is a disaster, and he's not even close to being finished screwing things up. This immigration thing is going to unleash a wave of illegal immigration like none we've ever seen. If you think the DACA thing ramped it up, wait until he starts handing out more immigration benefits. All in the name of shifting demographics to ensure his party's survival in the future.

No one asked me if Jesse or Al or both are my choice leaders.

When was the vote?

Pretty sad, isn't it? When crooks like that claim to speak for black folks and the media is complicit in giving the hustlers a voice. Hopefully the black community will wake up soon.

i don't think it's too many. nb over here talking about power, what power does al sharpton have? none. what power does jesse jackson have? zero.

i don't think the daca thing ramped it up. i do think that congress decided not to act on immigration reform - again - for the sake of the election year. why dice it up?

What gets me is back when the struggle was real and blacks really had no opportunities other than domestic help, Garbage workers etc, they did not hold up the lowest common denimitor of their race to go to make a stand over.. Several women were arrested before Rosa Parks. They did not make a stand with these women, because they all had arrest records or serious flaws.

Blacks claim police officers discriminate against young black men. Maybe so. However they pick Michael Brown to make a stand. A kid that is involved with gangs, drugs and had just robbed a store. come on , they should expect the backlash they are getting. Michael Brown who just moments before had robbed a store using violence.

What is even worse, they are going to war before the case even had a chance to be investigated. They burn the town down, get national news coverage looting and stealing. Smart move, that really helps your case.

I think I have figured out why Jesse, Al and the other race hustlers pick these little criminal thugs. Because that's their base. The black middle class and educated, the Rosa Parks, if you will. They are starting to see the light as they have walked thru the doors that have been opened for them. The people looting, burning and committing violence in Ferguson. Brown was one of them.
