I would like to suggest to everyone to dress accordingly for the oath ceremony. I astonished seeing how poorly dressed people attended the same ceremony as I did.

If you pay close attention to the oath letter, it reads "no jeans, flip flops, etc) Why would you wear jeans? If you have managed to get this far, please be respectful to our flag and everyone else in the room who took the time to get ready and properly dress for the event.

One guy specifically was wearing shorts, flip flops and a short sleeve shirt. He literally looked as if he was going to the beach right after.

Now that the rant is over...... the ceremony in new york lasts about 2.5 hours. My recommendation is try to hydrate but not to the point where you have to go to the bathroom every 5 minutes. The benches are long and to go in and out its pretty annoying. Not to mention the fact that if you went to the bathroom and the judge is presiding you may not enter the room again (it happened to a gentleman at the ceremony i attended to).

I am happy to be over with the whole process.

If this ceremony has some deep meaning to you, that you think is properly marked by dressing formally, then go right ahead. But for some peoplemyself includedit was a pompous, self-congratulatory inconvenience that typified the pernicious oversimplifications of American exceptionalism. We won't begrudge you your suit, but we'll wear whatever we damn well please. I don't think the flag in my courtroom noticed what I was wearing, and even if it did: I live in the U.S. because I admire a country that doesn't give legal rights to anything as meaningless as a piece of cloth.

i had my 2nd interview and was told you passed interview but a decision can not be made, was like why not he said you have and a u s entry back in 1997 through Laredo n 1998 through california i said no then he said you'll receive a notice by mail after a decision been made, what this means?

100% agreed. As long as there's no official dress code it's up to a person what to wear...(unless this is something totally inappropriate like bathing suit)

What about offices where they do oath ceremony at the same day like mine. I got the interview letter and nothing there that says about the dress code.

That line was a request, not an instruction. It's important to know the difference, although I'll admit that which is which is woefully unclear throughout the process. Case in point: the Oath of Allegiance was mandatory (all except the part about taking up arms and the final words "so help me God"), the Pledge of Allegiance after it was not. Which is why I neither put my hand on my heart nor recited those banal words.

It's not a month yet it is 17 days without no mails or anything do u think its normal

If I understood your timeline correctly then it's been exactly a month since the decision was made. If you have time schedule an Infopass appointment. They should at least be able to tell you whether or not you were approved.

4th June I received on line update that supervisor review is finished and I should receive a decision in mail its 20th June today I did not receive anything yet should I be concerned or do something ???
