Forgot to change mine, but I became a citizen on Friday, at the federal district court in Manhattan. Just submitted my passport application today. Finally I can get arrested whenever I please with no worries of deportation.

So, we had the interview on Tuesday morning. Here is how it went...

Our appointment was at 9:45AM, and we showed up at 9:20AM. The interview officer didn't come out to get us until about 10:15AM.

It all went so fast it is hard to keep track of everything after the fact. The test was over in no time!

English reading, had to read: "Which state has the largest population?" (paraphrasing - don't remember the exact wording )

English writing, had to write: "California is the state with the largest population"

Then on to the civics quiz, which she got 6/6 on:

- What is one reason colonists came to America?

- What is one right or freedom from the first amendment?

- Who is in charge of the executive branch of government?

- There are four amendments to the constitution about who can vote. Describe one of them.

- If the president can no longer serve, who becomes president?

- During the Cold War, what was the main concern of the US?

The I.O. said she passed the test, then asked if she had any other green cards, and we said no. Then she said that their records indicated that there seems to be another green card associated with our case, and she has to order the records before she can make a final determination...which could take up to two months. We were shocked at this and didn't really know what to ask (after the fact we thought of a bunch of questions we wish we had asked).

So, we are now in a holding pattern and we have no idea what they meant by us having another green card. We looked through all our files and could not find any reference to such a thing.

2- It could be an issue of mistaken identity. The background check may have confused your case with someone else's. They'll just need time to make sure they are approving the right person.

Sorry, I didn't realize the interviewer was asking for a card with a different A number.sometimes they just want to check if you have the older cards with you because you're supposed to surrender them all at the oath. Whatever the reason was, good luck.

As with previous dates with NCIS, we came over-prepared because of reading visajourney

We brought all current and previous passports as well as all the green cards she has had. Beyond that, about 2 pounds of paperwork and other records.

Hi guys my interview was on may 2nd same day I received update on my status online which was that my case has been suspended until I provide additional documents then on the 4th may it updated that supervisor review has been finished and I will receive decision in mail today is 14 may exactly 10 days over I did not receive any RFE nor decision at this point I should be worried or make any moves or just sit tight and wait normally I receive mails within week of on line update this time it's just taking forever kindly suggest plz any experiences would be appreciated and yes my interview was in ny federal plaza still fingers crossed

I just received my oath ceremony notice!!!

It is scheduled for June 30, 2015 in Central Islip. #excited

If I understood your timeline correctly then it's been exactly a month since the decision was made. If you have time schedule an Infopass appointment. They should at least be able to tell you whether or not you were approved.
