Don't worry just yet... sometimes they set the status to RFE when they need more information... even if it's not from you... when that happens, the system sends out that update automatically.

It's also possible that they need something from you like a copy of a passport or something minor that they forgot. It's probably just a technicality and nothing has changed... you should be approved soon hopefully. If you get a letter, respond to it as soon as you can.

My point about this problem is that because of your original nationality!

But please don't worry, because soon or later you finally will become a US Citizen :)

Waiting for you to share the later news.

thank you kash

Fact is interviewer always says nice things when concluding interview. It is to calm you down aka their job requirements, don't take it serious then you will be shocked. Good luck.

Hi, we just called the number, asked to be transferred to tier two, and they told us that oath will be in 2 weeks from today. They are not allowed to tell you exact date. So, the letter was sent out, but we haven't received it yet, but can just call the number to tell you the date.

Also, it takes about 3-4 days to receive the letter usually.

Interview was quick. I had 9.am appointment. I checked in on arrival at 8.30.

Interviewer called me in at about 9.05am.

She swore me in under oath and I proceeded with test questions.(Longest river. When do we vote. What is the anthem called. What 3 words define(we the people), and 2 public holidays ) English reading and writing amd them we went over my application. And then she told me I passed and If I would be able to return later in the afternoon for my swearing in.

She was pretty pleasant and smiled a lot, so that helps.

Swearing in was about 140 people. They had a few last minute people they called in on the day by phone to come in for swearing in. The person I sat by had ben waiting a month since his interview.

Good luck and I hope it all works out smooth sailing for you.

MrsAK, please share you exp of interview as my interview is in June, that will help me for sure. Thanks in advance.

Hi folks! I normally don't post here (apologies)but wanted to give my citizenship interview experience from today as I have followed the journey with all of you from AOS in 2008, and appreciated reading your experiences, and learnt so much along the way,

I mailed in application on 12/14/14, with a fee waiver request because I received a means tested benefit.

on January 1st, I got email that application was accepted and fees waived.

Finger printing got scheduled sometime in February but I had to postpone this 3 times as I was out of the country from January 9th - March 26th. - I had my sisters address as my mailing address, and she would open and request postponings etc for me.

I got fingerprinted April 4th, went in for "early bio" about a week and a half prior to actual bio appt.

On april 8th I got email that I was scheduled for interview, don't remember when I got the actual interview notice maybe 2 weeks later?

So Interview was today at Baltimore field office at 9:21. I got there at 9:20, checked in and waited for aabout 30 minutes before my name was called.

The IO was a very nice gentleman tool me to his office, and made me rise right hand to swear to tell the truth, etc.

He went over my entire application, I had been fuzzy on my places of residences, though I had always changed my address with USCIS, I did not always keep the records for myself, so he did not make a big deal out of it, and actually ended up just asking me did you live here during such and such time, and I would confirm. (I have moved about 4 times the last 5 years)

I also had an arrest (DUI) in 2005 for which I had been found not guilty in court and had the records expunged, and had mailed in the expungment records with my application.

He asked me if I had the original records to which I did but he did not ask to look at it. he just asked so you were found not guilty? which I replied yes.

He then shuffled through all my papers again, typed onto the computer for a couple of minutes and said we will now proceed with the test. He asked me the first 6, I don't remember all of them but here are some

1. Longest river in the US

2. What ocean is on West coast

3. what does rule of law mean?

sorry I don't remember the rest, but answered first 6 correctly and he moved on to the written.

Was asked to read "how many senators are there?" he then checked the answer and gave me the paper

Was asked to write "there are 100 senators".

he checked answers, went back to computer when he was done he said, congratulations, you passed the test, and I am recommending you for citizenship. Do you have any questions? I asked when oath ceremony was and he said usually in Baltimore it is about a couple of weeks, but remindinded me that in case of anything it can take up to 120 days! and his supervisor would also do the final approval.

he then escorted me back out of the offices, the end :)
