Hello Croat,

Quick question, did you get an inline notification text or email from uscis?

Hello,

Question if someone could help or give me advice.

I applied for naturalization based on the 5 year rule in mid December, got my N-400 receipt dated December 23, 2014.

I then got the yellow letter on January 8, 2015.

I also completed the biometrics on January 22, 2015.

Since then I have not heard anything.

My case starts with NBC*.... and was probably transferred to the local support center to process. I live in Ohio.

My question is, should I have received any additional forms or interview letter or date by now?

Should I contact the support center to see what is going on?

Thanks.

Hi,

On December 23, 2014, we received your Form N-400, Application for Naturalization , Receipt Number NBC***********, and sent you the receipt notice that describes how we will process your case. Please follow the instructions in the notice. If you do not receive your receipt notice by January 22, 2015, please call Customer Service at 1-800-375-5283. I would say pretty much we both are going the same way, I filed on dec 6th 2014 and given my biometrics on jan 6th and ever since then i havent heard anything.

My local field office is columbus, Ohio.

I tried calling USCIS couple of times but they said its still within the time period( 5 months for columbus) for processing the application. Once i pass the 5 months they would excalate the call to tier 2 representative to find out whats going on with the case.

I am pretty much stuck after giving my biometrics, i dont think the name check has completed yet.

I have been very patiently waiting past three months after biometrics, just passed the 4 months mark after filing n400.

Hey sumgo, I remember we had almost exact same timelines up until biometrics, and now I have been naturalized, got my passport yesterday; yet you are still stuck. Just funny how USCIS works. Is there any possible complications with your case?

Yeah, I guess we will just have to wait. I am sure everything is fine, I just wanted to see what others think.

Btw. my local field office is Cleveland

A friend of mine who filed in December, he also never heard from USCIS after biometics, he filed around the same time as you.

Hello Huy_le,

Congracts, I am really happy for you!!! I actually stopped checking the updates since nothing positive is going for me.

I cant think of any complication, all i can do is just wait and focus on my work.

I am very lucky to get naturalized fast. You may want to check out other filer thread to have some idea of how fast/slow things move at your office. It is very frustrating wait, I checked my status almost everyday.

Yep, looks like you're probably only a month away from the interview letter, if your timing works out like mine. Just six days until I'm all done (unless I forget which country is to our north or what the term for the first ten amendments to the Constitution is, of course).

You're right; if your case follows the timeline of mine, it looks like you'll probably get the interview letter within two weeks and the interview itself will fall late next month.

They can't schedule interview until FBI background check is cleared. Not everyone case is same so we need to be patient and pray. Good luck.

Prayer definitely gets the FBI to speed up.
