Hello--I wondered if anyone had information on adjusting from an OPT Student visa to permanent resident. I am currently on an F-1 Student OPT visa and recently got married and need to apply for the green card. My question is do I need to file an I-485 if I already have a visa and a full-time job? or can I just submit the I-130? Also if I do have to submit all paperwork do I have to file for the petition first and then send in for the green card paperwork or send it all in at once?

Thanks in advance for your help.

You have to submit both forms. By the way the job isn't irrelevant because if it will be the same after you become an LPR you can use it for meeting the income requirements.

Here is a link for AOS:

Yep you currently are on a temporary visa and would need to leave without filing.
