I just wanted to post some helpful information for new filers who are sending in I-130 petition in for their wife in the Philippines. You need to send the NSO copy of your marriage certificate to the USCIS with I-130 form. I know that people have

posted on here saying you could just use the civil registrar copy,and maybe you could before. However I know for a fact that

Nebraska service center is asking for NSO copy of marriage certificate. I file in October and got RFE for that, another person file in October and also got RFE for NSO copy. Both petitions went to Nebraska service center. I do not know if Nebraska is the only service center that is requesting it. However since it takes a while for the NSO to get a copy of the

Marriage certificate and you only

have so much time to respond to an RFE it might be better to wait until you have An NSO copy of your marriage certificate or you could be out $420.00 and having to refile the I-130
