Tax for previous year and interview

Hello again,

My Petitioner submitted the AOS for this year with the previous year's taxes. My case will maybe be completed by December(with an interview in January or February). I am already in possession of the 2013 tax return , but would the petitioner need to file taxes for 2014 for me to submit at the interview or would the 2013 returns be accepted? Correct me if I am wrong but taxes are filed in April each year? Would the embassy accept 2013 papers since the tax filing period is not finished? Can some please clear this up.

Ok. Maybe I came across jumbled.....are tax returns valid for only 1 year? (January to december?). Therefore, if I go to the interview in February I would need 2014 returns and not 2013 ?

If you go to an interview in February, you'll take 2013 tax return/transcript. They understand how taxes are filed and will only expect to see the most recent one that was due.
