You could try reading James Patterson.. he's really good. His Alex Cross series is a good one to start with. Robin Cook is also a good author.. Dean Koontz (only if you like creepy type stories.. ) I'm a big fan of Stephen King, but perhaps you dont like horror.. Just a few suggestions...

oh yeah !! I just love love love Robin Cook and Stephen King

I would also love to have a VJ book club. I love to read. I've read all of John Grisham's books. I don't really know what else to read at this point. I don't know what authors are good or not.

If you haven't read all of Nicholas Sparks' books I would *highly* recommend them...he has about a dozen or so..maybe a couple more or less. I just bought 3 of the paperbacks...I want to keep them to reread again. I keep 3 or 4 authors I really like (for romances Debbie Macomber and Nora Roberts) and Nicholas'....

I just reread The Guardian. It was great...going to reread The Rescue next. I thoroughly enjoyed all of his. If you read much I'm sure you know this already, but he's the author of (made into movies as you *will* know..) The NOtebook, a Walk to Remember, etc. :) M.

Go see the movie - Pan's Labrynth! And if you're daughter's not too squeemish - take her, although I wouldn't recommend it for anyone under the age of about 13. :star:

HA!

I started in high school and still haven't finished.

Just kiddin'!

I wouldn't mind starting a yahoo group for this or something like that. Who would be interested?

I LOVE reading. I just finished Capote's In Cold Blood before watching the movie.

:P Ulysses is supposedly one the most difficult books to read...even Joseph Campbell said he couldn't understand it.

I saw In Cold Blood years ago - I'm not a big fan of wanting to get inside the head's of killers. Capote drove himself out of his mind with that one.

Horror isn't my favorite thing. I'm a chicken when it comes to that stuff. I'll try the other ones you suggested. I really love to read but Javier hates it when I do. I get started on a book and don't stop until I've finished it.

 Yes James Patterson, and Nelson Demille would be good authors to try.

I love Nelson DeMille, but that's probably because he lives in my hometown and most of the areas he writes about are places that I know well. I am currently reading his latest and enjoying it!
