There is no harm in calling for your peace of mind. I did call on my 7th week then hour later they called me to inform it will be 9 weeks due to supplier issue. Will call them on the 18th, the original date they want me to call anyway cos 21st is quite late for me as I have interview on the

24th.

Hi, my fiance emailed them instead last Monday and they told him that I maybe have the immunization by tomorrow if the result is negative since the result was not available yet. But I am now in Manila with my son just arrived this morning. Also, I called them a while ago and said that the result just came today and they will prepare it for tomorrow's immunization. They said have to call them back at 5pm again today to make sure all is set for tomorrow.

No. Since the visa payment increased last September. Those who pay their visa fee before September 12, which I also did. The validity of that old visa payment is only until December 11.

If somebody with the old visa payment scheduled her/his interview beyond December 12. you have to pay the difference from the increased payment to the old one.

Fees that will increase (nonimmigrant fees only): Visa fees paid will be accepted 90 days after the new fees go into effect, as follows:

• If you paid your visa fee before September 12, 2014, and your visa interview is on or before December 11, 2014, you do not have to pay the difference between the new and old fee amounts.
• If you paid your visa fee before September 12, 2014, and your visa interview is on or after December 12, 2014, you will be required to pay the difference between the old and new fee amounts – no exceptions^_​​​

Did you have an interview scheduled before the medical and have to cancel it because of sputum? That is interesting about the $25 extra, and yes it states - no exceptions. For sure wouldn't stress over $25. Curious if they are applying that to the K-1 or just the other types of non-immigrant visas, I only wonder because the K-1 is process an an immigrant visa. Don't want you to pay $25 extra to find out, but that does make me wonder.

Before the sputum my interview was September 22. I paid my visa fee August 2014.

K1 confuses me most of the time, whether it's non immigrant or immigrant.

My concern is not mainly on paying the difference but the process I have to deal with when paying, extra work to do.

As much as possible, I really wanted to have my reschedule interview before December 12 to not deal with the hassle.

I do understand your desire to not have further issues. If I knew of an way trust me I would share it. At the moment with you being at week 7 and no calls i think the odds of your being negative are very good, just need to be patient another week.

You can call but they may not have your results.  Good luck. I hope your clear to move on. It's hard but keep the faith.
