I have the error message too but I'm only an October filer so doubt I'll get approved anytime soon. I haven't received any information on them changing my alien registration number either and our NOA1 was sent on October 30th, how long does it typically take for then to change it?

call 800 number and you should be able to hear the ARN changed message.

That would be awesome, but I don't know if that's the case, though. Because it seems like EVERYONE is getting this error message UNTIL they've been approved. Meaning USCIS is only seeming to fix this issue for those who have been approved. But that doesn't necessarily mean that it's because it's in the process of approval. We've been getting that message for weeks and haven't gotten approved yet.

Anyways, we can only hope that's why!

Does everyone know how to check your case status by calling? It's been posted in several topic forums, but I know some people are getting antsy and, even though it's likely not changed, want to be able to check their status.

Yes, that's how I knew my case was changed. All of a sudden my phone started getting both texts texts and emails and then I checked and I was approved!

Im not sure if its something new . However I'm getting the error after a followup interview. And the case officer showed up at my buddies business to do an interview. I'm 100 percent sure it means somebody is doing something. I called the number and it said I made an address change last august.

I'm not sure because I didn't check over the weekend but all of that monday I had an error message and even when I called the # the provide, the tier 1 said they were having technical difficulties and couldn't check my status.

I never got an error message when checking case status with USCIS, mine showed no activity what so ever. I checked it late on a Friday night nothing, then at 10:00am on Saturday morning I got a text message saying my case was sent to NVC the day before.

Yes, that's how I knew my case was changed. All of a sudden my phone started getting both texts texts and emails and then I checked and I was approved!

I don't see that the error message means they are working on your case though. I think since the changes were made that it shows the error... and it is not going to be fixed until they are looking at your file, whether its a week from now or a month ...or whenever.

I have been getting the error message since my fiance called and asked if we could add some more to our application (forgot about G-325a because we filed before finding this site :-D and overlooked it in the USCIS instructions - which are really not that good, I dont think) and they said, sure, just send it in. And now we can´t get a status.

We got our NOA1 October 21.

Change the SRC number at the end with your SRC. You will get an error about signing in, sign in normally at the left hand column, and you should see your preferences at the bottom with your text and email alerts.

Click that to check your status there. Let me know if it helps.

Just looked and the website now says the server is currently unavailable or down for maintenance. Maybe that's a good sign? Maybe they're working on things?
