Exactly! I don't think that it means they're going through our cases, but that when they switched over to the new site, apparently they just weren't so great with fixing databases for everyone. Besides, when you call the USCIS number to get your case status, it's still the same. Why would they have an error message online if they're going through our case? That doesn't make much sense, though not like much that USCIS does make sense. I think they're just probably working it fixing for those approved. Idk. Who knows what goes on in their minds? :clock:

As far as phone/web disparity goes I am pretty sure phones weren't updated along with website. So they continue to give same message.

I hadn't checked my status for a couple of weeks and when I did.. around 8 days ago the status wasn't available and the system was down. I'm inclined to agree that it is just in limbo somehow and only corrected when you are approved so in the meantime I read the unavailability to mean the same as the old 'Initial Review', and the file hasn't been touched. On the old system it was pretty common for them to still show Initial Review long after approval anyway.

( I still check it regularly... just in case)

Mar 2011 - After 5mths denied for lost docs - Attempts to follow up failed. Mar 18 2012 - I-129F sent - No sign of NOA1 but they have banked the check...Jul 24 - Update - USCIS has located our file
Infopass Apt - they sorted through everything - our 2011 and 2012 file keep getting mixed up - getting us a Case# (still waiting) Dec- Infopass Appt- expecting to get a case # in about a week ..Still no Case number

Mar 2013 Infopass - advised file was in a box somewhere, and it would be quicker for us to refile. Life gets in the way... New petition submitted July 2014 .

I am getting the same error for a week and can not log into my account, however when I tried to log in my phone I could see my case and it showed the last date my case was touched and unfortunately it was when my ARN was changed so still Initial Review! IF my status changes within the next 30 days will be nothing more than the regular processing time since I am a june filler!

Please guys do not keep your hopes up thinking if you can't check your status online it means they're working on your case! NO IT DOESN'T MEAN! October fillers can not check their status as well and everybody knows that probably regular october fillers at TSC won't hear anything until the next year (Except for a miracle or expedite cases).

Everyone is is right regardless of their opinion. It could mean something or it could mean nothing. At the very least we all know that we aren't the only one getting error messages. And when it gets fixed we can report that too.

I do know hope is important however we need to be very realistic about it otherwise it will drive us crazy. I am not saying you need to sit down and wait for a miracle, no, but we need to be aware of the average processing times and start to act after the regular time has passed! If you call 100000 times a day (Like I have seen people saying they call more than 3 times a day) it is such a waste of time because all they will tell you is that you need to wait for the average processing time and they will not tell you anything different from what you can check by calling to get the latest information about your case (18003755283)... In MY opinion it's not worth to wait hours to speak to a Tier 2 Agent and get the same info if you're still on the regular processing time (6 months for TSC), I think it's just adding more frustration and focusing a lot of your free time on it when you could be doing so many other useful things, but well it is my point of view and maybe because I was pretty aware of the processing times, don't have time to keep calling (I work 10-11 hours a day) and I never planned to go to the US as soon as my Visa was issued (I was planning 3 months after since I have work commitments and other things to take care of prior to moving). Everyone has different needs and I understand the frustration!

I get the validation error if I try to use my src #, but if I login with my username and password, it lets me in. When I get in and click on my case it says "my current status:" and that's it. There's no status listed.

Have you tried on your phone? When I try the computer to login I get the error but when I use the phone I can log in and I can see the LAST UPDATE which is the exactly date of my ARN change!

I am thinking there has to be a reason that some are able to check while others aren't. If it was system glitch then it'd affect all! I have other cases for my siblings in my portfolio and I am seeing status for those except this currently pending I129F for my fiancée.

This poster was able to get some information: http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/521802-uscis-website-doesnt-work/?p=7338138

and http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/521802-uscis-website-doesnt-work/?p=7339837

So some cases did not transfer with the update. I was also one of the unlucky ones, and not even the representative I spoke to on the phone could see my status.
