Did you just say you are trying to turn tricks???

Dave I don't know what she is talking about. I am confused also

Let's ask kip ?

"Muslims kill gay people for being gay, women for being raped, and other Muslims for speaking out of turn."

Is this really a piece you want to stand behind?

Considering this is true, and Kip backs it up completely, what's wrong with talking about it in public? I have seen a video of a woman being stoned to death after burying her up to her head in the ground, then a group of men stood around and chucked rocks at her until she died. Very slowly, I might add. Why? She was raped. But her attacker was a muslim man, so no charges brought against him. I had a hard time believing it, but it appeared to be true.

As for islam and homosexuality, doesn't sound very user-friendly to me:

You are about to get the , Not all Muslims are homophobes speech.

True that. Not all Southern baptist are homophobes but by large margins most are.

That is what Bill Maher was trying to say that got people so riled up. He basically said, as Liberals, we need to be just as quick to point out discrimination among Muslims as we do other groups, but that even though Islam almost universally a very dangerously anti-gay environment in most places, people will not speak out against the intolerance. Usually

Marvin we know there are some Muslim countries that may tolerate Homosexuals, but that is not the case in with most and you know it

And how many muslims here in this country beat up gay people? How many Muslims stone people to death here? Look at the article.

It says Muslims, not some or a few. All of us. But nothing wrong with that right? Because folks shouldn't be offended by being lumped in with the rest of the crazies.

No better than what . Telling the truth, that Islam has a big issue with intoelrance toward gays. That is hardly a disputable fact

So does a lot of Conservative Christian church's like the southern baptist

Good thing in America is we don't have religious law and they can not be persecuted like in so many other countries.

Here are the 10 countries in which being gay can bring the death penality

Tell me if you see any common thread

http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/worldviews/wp/2014/02/24/here-are-the-10-countries-where-homosexuality-may-be-punished-by-death/

Here are the 10 countries where homosexuality may be punishable by death:

Yemen: According to 1994 penal code, married men can be sentenced to death by stoning for homosexual intercourse. Unmarried men face whipping or one year in prison. Women face up to seven years in prison.

Iran: In accordance with sharia law, homosexual intercourse between men can be punished by death, and men can be flogged for lesser acts such as kissing. Women may be flogged.

Iraq: The penal code does not expressly prohibit homosexual acts, but people have been killed by militias and sentenced to death by judges citing sharia law.

Mauritania: Muslim men engaging in homosexual sex can be stoned to death, according to a 1984 law. Women face prison.

Nigeria: Federal law classifies homosexual behavior as a felony punishable by imprisonment, but several states have adopted sharia law and imposed a death penalty for men. A law signed in early January makes it illegal for gay people countrywide to hold a meeting or form clubs.

Qatar: Sharia law in Qatar applies only to Muslims, who can be put to death for extramarital sex, regardless of sexual orientation.

Saudi Arabia: Under the country’s interpretation of sharia law, a married man engaging in sodomy or any non-Muslim who commits sodomy with a Muslim can be stoned to death. All sex outside of marriage is illegal.

Somalia: The penal code stipulates prison, but in some southern regions, Islamic courts have imposed Sharia law and the death penalty.

Sudan: Three-time offenders under the sodomy law can be put to death; first and second convictions result in flogging and imprisonment. Southern parts of the country have adopted more lenient laws.

United Arab Emirates: Lawyers in the country and other experts disagree on whether federal law proscribes the death penalty for consensual homosexual sex or only for rape. In a recent Amnesty International report, the organization said it was not aware of any death sentences for homosexual acts. All sexual acts outside of marriage are banned.

he should know better than to pick favorites when hating on religion. most people don't like it when you put down their religious beliefs. but it's okay when their not yours, personally.

there is certainly plenty of religious influence in our law.

I am not putting down any one persons religious belief. Just stating a fact that Islam as whole is very homophobic. does this mean all Muslims are homophobes. No.

What Bill was saying is that many Liberals will speak quickly against oppression of women and gays, but generally shy away from it when it comes to Islam, which has a real problem in many parts of the world with both. That is undeniable

Catholics have a problem with Pedophile Priests

Southern Baptist have a real problem with discrimination against gays

Nobody seems to have a problem with that. However when you point out that in most Muslim countries (Most means the majority), Homosexuality is illegal and can be punished by law. Instead of speaking up for human rights, people get labeled Islamophobe for telling the truth. It's baffling really.

Yes plenty of religious influence on law, but our forefathers had the common sense to put in the separation clause.

thank you for breaking that down (most means majority-who woulda thought?)

it is baffling, i don't really see it occurring outside the vj bubble though, sorry. the fact remains that there are muslims do not believe in punishing homosexuality with death.
