Hi beautiful people. I checked my case status online this week and to my surprise it stated that my case was aprroved on November 10. Then I checked it today and it stated that my case was sent to the department of state on November 13 for visa processing. Can someone tell me what does this mean and what should I expect next..

After your I-130 is approved, you will wait for about 4 to 6 weeks for the NVC to process the approval. Then you can expect an email requesting that you select an agent (person/lawyer to contact). Once that has processed a few days later, the NVC will request payment, visa form, affidavits of support, ect. Congrats on the

I-130 approval.

How do you check you case status online? I have also recently recieved an I-130 approval notice via email and am not sure about what to do next. I see that the guy who posted after you said to wait for an additional e-mail but if possible I'd like to continually check the status of things online as I had to wait 58 days for my I-130 approval and want to stay alert to make sure the rest of this process goes as smoothly and quickly as possible.

timeline in layman's terms:

Submitted I-130 (in person) - September 16th, 2014

I-130 Approved - November 12th, 2014

Received an e-mail prompting me and my wife to complete form DS-260 and submit some documents to a bank (NOA2?) - November 28th, 2014

Submitted documents to bank - December 4th, 2014

Received an e-mail instructing me and my wife to schedule an interview appointment - December 18th, 2014

On your NOA1? I applied in person (DCF) so never received an official NOA1. I don't even think I have a "receipt number" (The number I have on my receipt is just an 8 digit transaction number).
