Were any of you born before 1963? How did the moon landing affect you?

We didn't play cowboys and indians so much any more, we played spacemen and aliens.

i have tried speaking with them about it (because what they are asking me for is not even my job and i have tried to redirect them) but i will not be rude back. if that makes me a pushover...well...at least i'm not a rude pushover.

Unless you say, "No, that is not my job and I wasn't hired as your personal assistant", then they're gonna think of you as a pushover. There are some people in the USA work place that will immediately move in on a new hire and see how much work they can pawn off on them. Often the new hire, worried about appearing like not a team player will do it, thinking they're being helpful. The rude person then continues to dump more and more work onto the new hire, taking credit for the work. There's only one way to deal with this type of person and it isn't by being nice or trying to speak reason. They know they're being unreasonable, they just don't give a sh_t as long as they can get their way.

Yeah, about that... How could he leave a pregnant wife at home alone?

And his princess?

That's completely unacceptable :P

Any husband who has dealt with a hormonal pregnant spouse would tell you that ain't no princess anymore. By the time they reach birthing, the hormonal rage has normally subsided.

I think Asia is refering to Steve's daughter, his princess. Not the prego short fat wife

this person, just, simply, is rude, sarcastic and mean. she wants things to be spoonfed to her, and when it isn't, she takes it out on the person closest to her.

what i responded with was, "that isn't actually something i monitor so i have no idea. you might want to check in with person xyz instead."

saying "i wasn't hired as your personal assistant" is, IMO, creating unnecessary tension. you can be factual and firm, without being unpleasant.

I've learned that certain people will always be a PIA until you totally shut them down. Although I do start out being nice, I'm fairly quick to catch on to those that do not deserve being treated nice.
