but if the alterations had not been done, it actually might have some value! Wouldn't the person who did this have been kicking themselves, if after they did it, someone online let them know that watch would have been worth a thousand bucks

Another line of toys I collect Topper Tigers. As far as I know, I have the most complete collection in the world. They were made for only two years back in the 60's, and sold at what were called Five and Dime stores back then.

I was rather obsessive about it 20 some years ago. Put up a web page for the Tigers because there was next to no information on them at the time. The company who made them I think went belly up.

With the Topper Tigers, I have everything ever made, including packaging. I don't have a picture of the remote controlled tank, as I hadn't gotten a complete one when I put up the website on them. Other than that, there was a little brown cigar that Sarge has, which was one of the toughest things to find. The cardboard barracks I didn't even know existed. I just ran across it in an antique store one day.
