Awesome. Sounds like a fun job.

I went to an info session for a nursing program today. Was all excited about it because career lol etc. Brought the info home and Ali just pooped all over it. "What about finances? What about loans? This means we couldn't have kids for like 5 year." etc etc.

Ruined my enthusiasm.

Yeah, nursing school and babies is hard from what I hear from other women. I stand by that you can do a different degree and have the babies, but if you need both of your incomes to pay the bills plus school and daycare costs, that is going to be ouch.

I practically LOL at all the stay at home moms who complain about how hard it is. Staying at home is like some sort of magical rainbows and unicorn farts compared to how hard it is to try and do all that other stuff and raise kids (unless of course you are rich enough for a nanny).

07-20-2007 = Phoned Immigration Officer; got WAC#; where's NOA1?

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).

I don't think my wife will appreciate me having to get up at 5am when I start working as a substitute teacher assistant. :P

My wife took the day off today. I asked her last night if she wanted to sleep in, or have me wake her up, thoughtful man. She said don't wake her up when I get up at 5, but she'd get up to set out my clothes when I got into the shower, typically close to 6. This morning I'm woken at 4:30 AM to the sounds of my wife texting furiously with family back home, ding ding ding man. :lol:

Nope not on bucket...

Speaking of buckets, my Aunt was locked in an elevator recently. Well when she got out and was telling us about it she says I can scratch that off my bucket list. Well that just cracked up my kids, son asked later if she really have that on her list!

I should make a bucket list!


My wife took the day off today. I asked her last night if she wanted to sleep in, or have me wake her up, thoughtful man. Nope not on bucket...

oh the kid and her buddy had a blast. There were some rich snob mother/ daughter seated next to us that didn't approve of my kiddo and her buddy (And every other kid in the arena) dancing. I had to educate them about a Disney show. Told them to "Look around you. This is what kids do at a kid's show." (I wanted to call her a stupid suka....)
