An expensive Japanese house? There isn't much land to build on here... They are minuscule compared to houses in the States. If someone wants a big house they buy a second one overseas. There are many restrictions on building here, plus they need to be built to survive earthquakes. Collecting China and glass can be a wate of time-sigh.

IMO, real estate in the US is dirt cheap. my parents' home in singapore is valued around the same price as some of the ones you guys have been linking and it is nowhere near as fancy or large as those houses. even here in seattle, where real estate prices are off the charts, i can get a decent two bedroom condo with a mortgage lower than $Many/month. in singapore, i can't even rent a decent room close to town for that price.

With Steveklar ready to leave Ciudad de Nueva York, I keep picturing the mansion with acreage that he could have around here, envision man.
