What are those fried things with the bones? Ribs?

That is how Filipinos make ribs. They're cooked, sliced, marinated, battered, then fried. Pretty darn good actually.

OMG, how many people ate that dinner?

10?

Standard Filipino feast, make enough for everyone to eat to bursting, plus enough food to bring home for a couple days. We had seven people over.

Here's my wife avoiding me during our feast

so, on wednesday, i gave out a pack of white out to each classroom cos they are always #####ing about not having office supplies in the classrooms. come monday (first day back after wednesday), one classroom is already saying they never received it from me and can't remember me handing it over personally to them. @$*%#&!#

i would be more inclined to find some more white out for them if they just came out and said "i misplaced it."

Just point to their computer screen. The proof will be all over it.

they are cheapest at the dollar store (3 for a dollar). but because my boss is too afraid of maxing out her P card, we gotta order them from Staples (invoicing) for quadruple the price lol.

underemployed like not enough manpower?

well, it's a non profit so that pretty much comes with the territory. add that to social services, and pretty much everyone is overworked and burnt out.

We get all our stuff from staples. I think they're still the world's second largest online retailer.

Like they're not using you in the right way. You're too smart and useful to be employed in such manner. You should be a CFO....

Some things are much cheaper on Amazon, like laminating pouches? Can't believe anyone would pay Staples prices for that.

And, nah, my job is multi-faceted. There's some no-brainer stuff I do for sure, but we are understaffed so we all have to do things that don't always come under our job description sometimes.

I do miss the policy work I used to do, though. And I miss the high paying exec life. But, it feels good to work with people, and it is rewarding in its own way...

I dunno how staples built their business, but they did a great job and have a great business model. Now officemax is going to be absorbed by them sooner or later. SPLS is a decent stock for a longer term hold.

Amazon, I love the company. It's everyone's favorite store. But the company hasn't seen a cent profit since its infancy......

If I can own one stock between the 2, it's staples, no brainer.

Maybe next time you should ask them to sign for or something while giving anything out.

Maybe next time they will remember receiving something.
