What I found a bit surprising is that it is perfectly possible to drive by the book, and still lose points. For example, even though I am allowed to turn into the far lane when turning right (and would be supposed to do so in Poland), it is supposedly safer to turn into the near lane...

Anyway, I passed by a safe margin and am now waiting for the "real" card to arrive in the mail :)

There is one more downside to being an immigrant, though - it will take appr. six weeks for the license to arrive. The have to verify my status with the BCIS...
