WE had known and emailed each other off and on because we volunteered at a handi-camp in Montana. After we decided to see if there was more, I flew to Great Falls, Montana and drove to Alberta. We didn't talk much the first day, nerves, family around, etc. We drove to Lethbridge to shop/dine/walk around. Again, the silence was brutal. While, we were walking aroun, she asked what I was thinking. I said I was thiking of holding her hand, and from that point on, we were fine and relaxed and talking. The rest, as they say, was history.

First date? When I got sick and suffered from diarrhea.

:lol::lol::lol:

That day I went to a restaurant. Got food poisoning, then went into a sweatshop to purchase clothing and got inundated with the fumes making it to the point where I was about to puke. Then afterwards, we rode an open taxi where the fumes and pollutants on the streets gets into my nose making it worse, the smell of diesel when you were just exposed to the fumes from die off the clothing. I told my wife that it's okay. When I got home she gave me a nice massage!

I met my fiance at a Valentines day Reggae show...but I can't really count that as a date since we didn't know the other existed at the start of it.

After meeting him there, he drove me from my friends house to my house the next day (the public busses weren't running). That was when I realized that he couldn't come visit me at my house if I wanted to keep a good reputation...soooo I told him we had to go out on a date.

In a couple days, I took the bus to the city where he lived to meet him. We walked a mile down the white sand beach (gotta love living in the Caribbean!). We stopped for a while and sat under a tree right on the water. It's our tree now! Then we walked back to the place where we met, it's a small park the reggae show was held in. He brought along two shandy's and his portable CD player. We each listened with one ear, read a newspaper and drank shandy's. I knew I wanted to read the paper with him for the rest of my life. I took the bus home and waited impatiently for our next date.

We are the masters of cheap dates now too.

On our 1st date, we went boating to this Lake in Bangalore, Both of us were paddling the boat, then i didn't want her to get tired So I told her she can stop, I will paddle the rest of the way, I guess I was so nervous do I didn't realized that she didn't removed her feet on the saddle, then As I continue to Paddle the other side Hit her Toes, it was painful, so we went to the hospital, X-ray and all, nothing was broken. So always have to learn to pay closed attention.

I had known my fiancee for years. She and I first met online on a gaming message board sometime around 2000. At first, we were very different people and to be honest, didn't care for each other a whole lot. We spoke to each other at times and even flirted a little, but we just didn't "mesh" well.

Skip forward a number of years and the people on the very same message board were having group get-togethers in a chat room. My fiancee usually attended those, and I decided to go to those as well. I saw her there and started sending her private messages. Even though our personalities didn't click immediately, I was attracted to her sense of humor and intelligence and therefore, I wanted to get to know her better. Little did I know she also wanted to get to know me better (she later said she was attracted to my sense of humor, intelligence and self-confidence) and was very receptive towards receiving my messages.

So we spent a couple of months just talking and becoming friends. As our online relationship progressed, we became more and more interested in each other beyond friendship and eventually things led to a romantic relationship. About a year from the time I first contacted her in the chat room, I flew up to Canada and met her in person. She was absolutely thrilled to see me, as was I her.

I don't really recall what our first "official" date would be (although she might; she as a much better memory than I do!) as we did too many things and went to too many places that visit. I just remember we spent a whole two weeks together going places, having fun and doing lots and lots of laundry. :)

It was on the next visit that I met her family and she met my family -- we spent one week in Canada and one week in Texas. I also proposed to her. We're scheduled to have two more visits coming up in May and then in August.
