Hey VJ family

If you approved for the visa, how long you have to wait to register on ustraveldocs? It appears they won't let me register my mom stating her bar is wrong and invalid passport. She was approved yesterday. Is it something I am doing wrong?

Name I meant to write. Not bar.

Okay, I was able to try to register the day after but the K-1 option was missing like I told you before. They stated that they're working on it but they haven't done anything with it. You should call them ASAP so you can start the clock on your ticket.

  • Callers in Haiti: Call 509 474 44444.
  • Callers in the United States: Call 17035447842

The website hasn't been working right but I hope yours is an easier fix than mine since our visa was ISSUED on Monday but we can't pick it up yet because the website won't let us register.

Did you get an answer or get registered? There's nothing so frustrating as being so close but so far away at the same time. I've taken to requesting to talk to a supervisor and I have a list of very specific questions that I want them to answer. But I'm with you, go back to the old system

Yes I did. I was able to register on the site last night. So how long did u had to wait for ur status to be ISSUED?

Oh and I tried to call the number but they put me on hold for 20 minutes and then they just hung the phone on me. Very frustrated to say the least.

I'm sorry that you got even worse service than I did... I didn't know that was possible. As for time it took to be "issued" on CEAC, mine said issued the third business day but I know of another Haitian filer who interviewed the same day as my fiance and it took six days for theirs. Just watch the two sites and your mom should have it in a couple of weeks.

It's been 8 days... But that includes only 4 business days (one American holiday, one Haitian holiday, and one weekend) so I guess, patience is the name of my game.

Today is some holiday for a battle for independence. I don't honestly know but my fiance told me about it yesterday. I could do more research on it but I figure he knows what he's talking about and so I'll just believe him and be disappointed that another day passes without progress.
