Our NOA1 receipts were dated about 14 days after we had sent in the AOS packets.

Go into the Fam.-based AOS Progress Forum and review some other recent AOS filer's timelines for more current dates.

YMMV.

Good luck on your immigration journey.

It can take up to 30 days to receive the receipt notice in the mail.

~ Moved from AOS from Family Based main forum to Case Filing and Progress Reports sub-forum - topic is filing/case status ~

We received 3 letters stating they received all our petitions. Is this considered NOA1 or do we wait until we get the actual papers that say NOA1 and put those dates?

Thanks!

Those are the receipt notices. Next thing you will receive is your biometrics appointment letter.

Thanks. He went to his Biometrics appointment on Friday. So, we will receive NOA1 paperwork after that?

Do you know about how much longer until he will get his work permit?

Not sure what you mean. The receipt notices are what you receive to say they got your applications and provide you with your receipt numbers. There are not really NOA1 and NOA2 aspects of the AOS process. Those receipt notices are proof of your filing.

Next you will receive notice that the EAD/AP was approved and card produced and mailed to you. After that you will receive a letter for an interview or letter stating your interview will most likely be waived.

It takes about 60-90 days from the date you filed until you receive the EAD/AP.

Okay, thank you. I was just asking to be able to fill in the Timeline. That thing can get me confused lol
