Hello all,

my fiance is a citizen of Israel and lives there for the last 7-8 years but he was born and lived all his life before that in Ukraine. Will he be asked to get the police report from Ukraine as well and if yes, can someone else take it there for him since he doesn't live there anymore.

also, he just recently changed his legal name to his dad's last name ( he used to be under his moms) and if he can get a police report in Ukraine, it'll have his mom's last name on it, what documents does he need to show to prove that he legally changed his last name?

Any and all advises and greatly appreciated.

Thanks

If your fiance lived in Ukraine after the age of 16, yes, he will need a police certificate from there. I don't know how it works in Ukraine, but many places you simply fill out a form and send some money, and they'll send you the police certificate.

He'll need the court document showing that his name is changed.
