He's a lame duck in every way. For 6 years he was in full control and smugly snubbed his nose at the Dems. Now the tables are turned and I don't think he has the humility or charisma to work with them. Hopefully they can keep a leash on him for the next 23 months. IMO years down the road he's probably going to be looked back on as one of the worst presidents in history. I think i

I haven't seen her and if I did I wouldn't pay her any attention. She's no different than Martin Sheen and others in Hollywood - and I say that as a 'liberal'. ;)

So, you think opposition to the war in Iraq does not encourage the enemy. OK great.

As a free democracy we allow dissent and protest to the government's policies and actions, but don't fool yourself into thinking this does not encourage our enemies in this war.

How?

I don’t think anyone thinks that that our national discourses take place in a bubble that is divorced from the rest of the world ;). But neither do I think that those discourses (rather than trusting someone who is demonstrably incompentant and untrustworthy) are themselves dangerous.

I'd rather fight them in Iraq then on US soil.

You like the slogans don't you...

I would ask how you forsee that happening as well, but I forsee a huge circular discussion about "the national tragedy" and the differences between different political groups.

The question is not how (or if) they will attack again, it's when. But I guess we will have to wait and see, won't we?

I noticed no one commented on the possibility of Bush being impeached rather than completing term (my analysis is as close to neutral as I could get; Pelosi does have motivation to try it).

With the timescales involved – I can’t see it happening.
