hi all , hope things are going well with everyone in this beautiful forum.

please I have some queries and I guess I would find answers here :)

Firstly my case number is 00008147. Visa bulletin for January is 9,000 .for Egyptians like me :)

The question is when will I get the appointment mail?

Secondly, I got married after filling DS 260 form, so I included my spouse but the problem is she does not speak English well, will this be a problem in the interview?

Thirdly, Should I start to get all documents ready although I did not receive the appointment mail?

thanks alot in advance and good luck for all.

As above, don't worry about english and yes get your documents done.

When did you submit your DS260? There have been delays in interviews for people who submitted late. So if you were late you may not get an interview yet, but if you do get an interview your letter should be on the website within a week or so.

Along with your other documents be sure to include evidence that your marriage is a bona fide one and not just a green card marriage.

thanks alot for your reply

Actually I submitted it on 22 May 2014 :). But I am wondering , is it true that since I see my case number below the bulletin cutoff ,that I will be scheduled for interview!

For the marriage point, is the marriage contract sufficent for that ?

thanks alot dear,

Ok if you submitted that early you should be scheduled.

No, the marriage contract is not sufficient, all that does is show that you have a legal marriage. They will want to know that the marriage is the result of a genuine relationship, not that for example someone paid you to get married so they could get a green card. So photos of you two over time, of the wedding ceremony, with each other's families, phone and email records etc, anything that shows there is a genuine relationship. If the marriage is for the sole purpose of your wife to get a green card it is considered immigration fraud and you will be denied a visa, and possibly be banned from entry into the US.

Agree,

you can refer to "Country Reciprocity" for your country:

Marriage Certificates

Available. Foreigners of the same religious denomination (all Christians are considered of the same denomination) and same nationality may receive their certificates from the ecclesiastical authority performing the marriage, without regard to the local authorities. Egyptians and all other couples having different religious denominations must apply to the Office of the Shahr el Akari, 14 Sharia Mahdy, Exbekieh, Cairo for a marriage certificate, either by mail or personally.
