How long is the wait normally from NOA1 and biometrics appointment? They sent me e-motification Dec 3, NOA1 hard copy Dec 6 and now I'm thinking my biometrics appointment will probably be early January? Does that sound right?

Congratulations on the receipts. Most of the RFEs coming are for the I864 and evidence of income and for birth certificates. You have to wait for the RFE. Good Luck! Hope it is something simple.

Thank you! The RFE was sent out on Dec. 4, and I finally received it on Dec. 18. Like you said, it was for his birth certificate. I'm a bit confused on what to do next because we did send them the birth certificate translated into English and with the proper stamps, seals and signature. We don't have original birth certificates in Iraq because there were no proper hospitals where/when he was born and the government didn't really recognize us, so...

Make an Infopass appointment at your local USCIS office. Take what you have and explain to them the situation. They will either accept what you have and enter it into the system or tell you what else you should get. Good luck!

Got a letter today, my biometrics appointment is on 31 Dec at 8 am. Yay!

...And got email notification for RFE. Would the email notification indicate if it was request for initial evidence? It doesn't mention that EAD and AP are being suspended too.

I got an RFE email also. They suspend the who;e file i.e. EAD, AP and 485. Wait for it and send them what they request ASAP. And, congratulations on the biometrics right in the middle of the holidays. Get that done too.

We sent them that, at least I think that's what we sent, it looks like the marriage license but it's printed on nicer paper and it has the clerk's signature and the big stamp.

I sent them a certified copy of the marriage license and certificate. It will be there on Monday.

That is what I had sent out. But, they needed something from the govt. Hence certified copy. Good luck!

I just realized I didn't include my I-94 and a copy of the biographical page of my passport in my applications for EAD and AP, I only included them in the I-485 package So that could be the reason for my RFE.
