Got all 3 hard copies of NOA1 in the mail yesterday dated 11/26, 12 days after I filed. I wonder why some people get their initial NOA1 texts + hard copies so quickly and why others don't...

Don't feel bad. Mine was delivered to their lock box on 11/17 and I still haven't heard anything from them (no email, no text, no hardcopy). Check has not been cashed either.

I hate having to wait so long for e-confirmation. Sent the forms on the 26th, they were delivered on the 28th. I know you have to wait for e-notification anywhere between 4 days and 2 weeks but it's hard :(

Dont wait for the econfirmation. Most people are getting the hard copies including me. Then, when you have the NOA #s, setup your own

tracking using the USCIS website. Good Luck!

Don't let anxiousness get the better of you. Track your case with the check cashing right now. You will have it soon after they cash the checks.

I know :o However, I JUST received a text and an email from USCIS :) Happy dance :D

However, it only mentions my I-765 when I check case status online with the receipt number that they included.

Its okay to be anxious. I was checking my mailbox everyday when I was waiting for my NOA. They didn't send a text but got 3 emails. I later got the hardcopy 5 days later. Now I received biometrics letter yesterday with appointment on 12/10/14.

I would like to ask, once I have received biometrics appointment does that mean everything was okay with my application so I won't get a RFE or does the application review comes after biometrics. I have been praying that all went well and I don't get a RFE.

I received 2 texts and two emails so far, for EAD and I-485, now waiting for confirmation they got my application for AP too.

I believe that getting biometrics letter/invitation doesn't mean everything is ok with the application and there won't be any RFEs, I think they process the application independently from biometrics, but I'm not sure.

However, don't worry and try to relax, I'm sure everything is going to be ok :)

Good luck!

Frontgear, we're in the same boat. We shipped the package on 11/15 and it was delivered the next day 11/16. Still haven't heard a thing from them. We live in Chicago which makes the wait even more ridiculous considering the package traveled less than 5 miles. I'm starting to wonder at what point should I contact them.

Thanks, S & Q. I was gonna to call them tomorrow and see what's going on. The only thing that I could think of that could cause a delay (or return of our application) is that I wrote "Department of Homeland Security" instead of "U.S. Department of Homeland Security" on the check. Other than that, I had everything double and triple checked and checked off our cover letter before mailing them off.

Let's keep our fingers crossed!

I would honestly not worry. You sent your file right before the holidays and they are already lagging behind. I bet you get something next week for sure. If you call before 30 days they are just going to tell you to wait most likely, but i guess it is worth a shot!
