Hi Guys,

We had our interview on June 19th and i think everything went well, the officer said if we didn't get a RFE in the mail within 2 weeks then we should expect the greencard in the mail. Its been weeks now and still update on the USCIS site, no mail, no sms and am getting impatient. Dont know if something is wrong, i was with the impression that we should get the greencard in the mail 2 weeks after interview date. Can anyone shed some light or is anyone in same predicament.

Thanks.

Hi,

I think there is a delay in green card production. There is another person on this forum, who had interview on 7/20, got approved the same day and got the card only on 8/18. We got approved on 8/17, so i guess we will have to wait.

Let me know when you receive the card - I think it should be very soon .

I received my welcome mail on July 23. The welcome mail said, my GC will be sent 3 weeks after but it's almost a month now and I still don't have it. I called Uscis and they told me it may take 60 days for the card to be sent out. So, I should receive my GC by Sept 21. I would like to hear from those who are in the same situation as I am.

Hey guys, Just an update. I received a letter from USCIS Baltimore local office two days ago requesting for a certified copy of my birth certificate. I initially submitted my application with a declaration and attestation of age because i had lost my original birth certificate. I thought they had accepted it because i never received any RFE during the initial application and also during interview. Anyways, i have requested a certified true copy from my home country and should be arriving soon. So i would like to ask you guys, will this delay my green card approval? I should mail the document back by next week so will that resume my case or will have to wait again for my turn?

Thanks guys!

Hi guys

Just wanted to say that we finally got approved today after receiving our NPIW many many months ago!

It seems that our case was sent to san francisco due to high USCIS workloads somewhere.

One week ago I got a RFE stating that my medical vaccination wasn't 'completed by a civil surgeon oversea' and that i needed to submit an updated I-693.

Dug out a photocopy of my DS-3025 submitted for the K1 visa - and couldn't understand the problem?

Re-submitted a photocopy of it stating it looks fine to me and that the signature was clearly on the bottom. Sent a photocopy of the knightsbridge receipt and payment receipt. Also stated that my medical was still in date (just!! Phew) and that i would absolutely NOT be doing a new I-693.

Literally a couple of days later I actually got a call from a friendly officer requesting more photos, we sent them in by fax the next day, called the officer to make sure she received them - verbal confirmation, all is in order, thus I-485 approved and I will have my green card in two weeks time.

It was nice to actually speak to someone rather than sending everything by post. Much quicker too!

(Oh and she was working overtime today (Saturday) to clear her backlog. Hopefully some other peoples cases will be sorted too)

Just another update--

We called the National Service Center today since it has now been 6 months since we got the NPIW. They told us that they are currently working on October 12th applications. So hopefully less than 2 months away for us (we had the fingerprint fee accepted in early December).

Any updates, guys? Still waiting here. It's been 262 days since I filed I-485 and 151 days since they sent the NPIW letter :(

Our AOS application was received by USCIS on November 19, 2014.

I had my Biometrics on December 08.

We received a Interview Waiver letter on Feb 13,2015.

Coincidentally, my GC was mailed to me 2 days ago, on our 1 year anniversary!

No Interview, No RFE, No need for a renewal of Medical Report (I had mine on May2014)

We married August 23, 2014.

Thank you Lord!

To everyone who's still waiting, I think your GC's are on its way already!

FYI for those who are waiting, after the NPIW your status will progress as follows(if approved)

-Card Production

-Decision

-Welcome mail mailed

-GC mailed!

Thank you Lord!

To every who's still waiting, I think your GC's are on its way already!
