Got the dreaded NPIW letter in the post. It's dated February 18th, so clearly not even the mail room works in USCIS. Says "due to workload factors not related to your case, USCIS anticipates a delay...of approximately 6 months from the date of the letter". So that's October 18th. USCIS -- you SUCK!

I think what's happening is they're kicking all November applications into the long grass of NPIW, and then they'll take up the December ones as they would normally - and then claim that they're working on Dec apps in their statistics. Very clever.

I am a December filler, dont see how fast they process our requests. I think most of the NPIW are giving to K1 visas. thoughts?

This is really terrifying to hear as I haven't even received the AP or EAD yet. Sigh. This is going to be another long year of waiting.

Well, I don't mean to terrify. Maybe it's my frustration speaking, but having been through the K1 randomness and now this, I don't think I'm way off the mark.

EAD/AP seems to be unrelated to AoS, so you don't need to worry about them.

No news for me either :( I filed Nov 20th and I have been ready to be scheduled since Dec 24th. Still waiting for EAD and AP, it's been over 100 days! I called last week to open an inquiry and no news about that either. I think NYC is really backed up. Hopefully I hear something next week

Talked to someone at the USCIS today and they said that people waiting for EAD's and AP's from the National Benefits Center are in for a long wait - they're apparently only sorting through October filers at the moment.

... yay.

Am in ( ready to be scheduled for interview ) since december/22 and chicago office looks so slow, october filers still didn't get interview notices :(

I have a question, we might be moving to Michigan next month so how will this affect my application ? Does moving to another state make it worse and slower ? Detroit office seems a bit faster than chicago but does transferring my application will make it longer ?

I was thinking to stay in chicago with my 2 year old son till i get the interview notice then we can join my husband but it doesn't look i'll be getting a notice in the coming month or 2 :(

any advice please
