Hello everyone, I just wanted to report that I received my Social Security Card on saturday by regular maill, so in my case it took 8 days from Request to completion if that can help anyone. Good luck to you all!

Did your receipt given from SSA state that you should expect the card between 2 weeks or 4 weeks?

The receipt given to me states I should expect the SSN card in about 4 weeks because they couldn't confirm my EAD card due to the fact that it hadn't been updated in their system. I applied for the SSN 3 days after I got my EAD.

It was a regular 2 weeks receipt and I applied the exact next day after I received my EAD, so I think it is pretty random, I just got lucky I guess. Good luck to you and I hope you receive your SS# soon!

Hello guys! Well, we had our AOS interview this morning. Unfortunately, we were not one of those cases approved on the spot. The interview lasted 30 minutes, but besides the formalities (swearing us in, checking our original birth certificates, marriage certificate, and asking me all the Yes-No questions that also appear on the I-485 form about crimes, convictions, etc.), for the most part the officer was quiet reviewing the application. Based on a couple of questions she asked me, I got the impression she had not really reviewed our case, since the evidence and answers were right there in front of her, in the application we submitted. But I was reading that sometimes officers don´t have time to go over the file ahead of time, and they do it after the interview. She told us she would need to review the case and would make a decision within 30 days. In any case, we were sad and disappointed, but we did the best we could. I was looking at some timelines and this is not uncommon, and some people get approved a few days later after the interview. I hope that's our case. It's all about remaining hopeful, right? :) So the best to all of you!

Same here. Application received on Nov. 20th and still showing fingerprint fees received, I don't think that's uncommon. I guess we really need patience now.
