From what I've heard, it does reset the 90 days period if it's request for initial evidence; if it's in the middle of the process and just a regular RFE, then it just pauses the process. In my case (request for initial evidence), I believe it completely reset everything.

Absolutely, I wasn't aware of that, but that's absolutely correct. Does anyone know if there is any chance to receive an Initial Request for Evidence after 40-50 days?

Current AOS

Nov. 20 2014 - Application Received Date

Don't think so, they normally send it within the first few weeks/one month. So you should be safe ;)

Hi DiaHa86, to my knowledge, a RFE doesn't reset the 90-day clock, it just stops counting until the response is received. That would explain why you are getting your AED now while filing in early October. I believe visajourney.com's processing time of Oct. 31 as of today should be accurate.

I filed a service request with USCIS on this. If its an RFE for INITIAL EVIDENCE, it resets the clock. If its for additional evidence it just pauses it. So in my case the 90-day clock was completely reset.

I checked my i-485 case status online and saw that it has been updated. Im not sure though if it means that im approved or something.

As from what i see in others posts, after biometrics you get either an interview or an interview waiver letter. i got neither. Can anyone enlighten me with this please?

I hope this is good news.

Congrats! If it's really under your I-485 receipt number and not EAD, then your green card has been approved and sent to you.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I think it's time to celebrate :)

I found out when I checked my status online. I got a RFE on 26th of november and they got my response on 18th of December. So i would say that having a RFE doesnt restart the 90 day clock on my EAD.

Good luck
