I just went to check the status of our 129-f application, a useless exercise I do every Monday morning and woah! Newly designed website! So, I typed my receipt number in where it is requested and received a "Validation Error." It read;

Validation Error(s)
You must correct the following error(s) before proceeding:
  • At this time USCIS cannot provide you with information for your case. Please contact the NCSC 1 (800) 375-5283 for additional information.

What??

So I thought, maybe I need to sign in. Which I did, and got this message;

Validation Error(s)
You must correct the following error(s) before proceeding:
  • Your account has been locked for one of the following reasons:
    (1) Account inactivity.
    (2) Too many unsuccessful login attempts.

  • Select Forgot Your User Name or Password ? and follow the instructions to reset your password.

Which makes no sense because I check my account weekly and I haven't had ANY unsuccessful login attempts (except for this one.)

So, I started to reset my password and I answered ONE security question, what day did we meet, and got THIS;

The answers you provided to the password security questions did not match our records. Please contact customer support by email at myUSCISsupport@uscis.dhs.gov.

Now, I am going to email support, but I wonder is anyone else having this kind of fun and giggles?

It has been doing the same thing to most people who have went to check their status. I just call the number listed and check my status that way.

I checked our status today and did not receive any errors. Same message as it's been since October 8th, however in a redesigned format. I hope this web redesign isn't adding to the timeline, we're a June filer and I'm hoping to receive a decision next month!

When i click on my Case Number i just get a box that say "my" but no actual status message :/ i know it hasnt changed because of the date on the case but still i dont mind reading the status...just cant see it on the new site. very annoying...oh and the USCIS app doesnt work now that the site is redesigned. I opened the app this morning and it said "no cases" even when i synced it to my login on the uscis website. hope they fix it soon :/

This is probably not relevant since this happened to me before the website redesign, but I got that error message about having too many unsuccessful login attempts. After changing my password there was some blurb about passwords expiring every 90 days... I had no idea that was the case until that happened. I guess I missed something when I was setting up my account...?!?

Last night when I logged into my account I was prompted to supply four security questions/answers, so that could explain the discrepancy with your security question/answer.

I also got that message, and I also I read that the passwords will change every 90 days. But they must have just instated that, because it hasn't been 90 days since we applied! The website has been terribly slow and difficult today. Hopefully they'll have the glitches sorted quickly! I know I probably shouldn't expect anything soon, but I still would like to be able to check!
