Hello everyone. I found out on Friday my case arrived on Friday to NVC. When I put in my case number this pops up

At NVC

Please follow the instructions you received from the National Visa Center (NVC) for the next step in the processing of your visa petition. If you have misplaced the instructions sent to you by the NVC or did not receive them, please contact us at http://travel.state.gov/visa/immigrants/info/info_3177.html for additional information.

Is it normal for NVC to send you a letter or something with further instructions? ALso, does beneficiary receive a letter or something or simply the petitioner? thanks for any help

I think if you will read this short thread, it will help answer many of your questions. It's a guide for K1s going through London. http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/474161-london-k1-a-complete-guide/

In the first post the documents link is messed up. Use this http://london.usembassy.gov/application_documents.html

Post #2 answers your question about the letter from NVC and what the beneficiary receives.

There have been some small changes that can't be edited but they are corrected toward the end, so read all of it. For example any reference to DOS helping you is no longer valid. Phones are now allowed inside the embassy.

Also start reading the UK forum http://www.visajourney.com/forums/forum/99-united-kingdom/ and asking questions there.

K-1 applicants don't deal much with the NVC. Your case goes through there, is assigned a case# and sent onto the appropriate consulate. It is typically there a couple days. Nothing is submitted to them, and they give you no instructions for applying for the K-1 visa in your country.

You can get your case# from the NVC and they can also let you know if your case was already sent to your consulate. They will mail a letter to the USC petitioner with the case# and saying it was sent to the consulate. That letter is just for records, since it is not needed for any of the immigration processes that follow.
